Unfair :(

"discussion" does not accentuate venting or ranting..:)

I disagree there. Most threads seem get started in one of three ways....

- someone has a question they need answered
- someone has a great report, idea or moment they wanted to share (in happiness)
- someone has a problem or a less-than-magical issue that they want to vent or rant about

Then people discuss it.

If someone was coming to laud the wonders of their trip (which I sure hope they do.....'cause I remember how happy we were after our first visti), would you apply the same logic in reverse? That it should not be "discussed" because discussion does not constitute oozing with praise?

Venting and ranting (as long as its not sarcastic or unkind) can stimulate some healthy discussion if everyone plays nicely.

I'm sorry for yet another Fastpass+ rant, however I leave this week to disney world and I'm not feeling this trip :( We have a timeshare so staying off site, but let me get this straight: Current resort guests are able to make Fastpass+ reservations AND pull regular fastpasses at the parks? If so then no wonder all the fastpasses are gone so early! How unfair to the rest of us!!!! I swear if I'd known about this before I purchased my park tickets I would have skipped Disney all together this year. *sign* I will try to make the best of it, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for listening.

Doesn't sound like a "rant" to me. :)

Ditto for lecturing. ::yes::
Hey I gave a definition take it or leave it, it doesn't matter to me one way or the other lol. You feel better about yourself by bashing, ranting, venting, or whatever you want to call it, uselessly, then by all mean go ahead!
I'm not the one whose emotions will continue to swim around in my head attacking my psyche. Slowly having your frustrations build and build till you just want to blow your top but can't so you just sit stewing about something you have no control over.
Be my guest!
I'm going to Disney World! :cool1:

Nevermind it. I sure don't lol..

I'm just sad for the people having such negative experiences....mostly for the children in their families. Children are so incredibly perceptive and their Disney experience will be based on the attitudes of the adults that they travel with. There aren't many adults on this board that I would want to travel with, let alone send children with.

To be clear..."you" (specifically) don't matter. At least not in terms of this particular point.

What the homogenized group of those that stay off site vs the sum total of those that stay on site (not just value and mod guests...all of them), does.

And I'd venture that on site guests, as a whole, put more revenue into Disney's coffers than off site guests do. Simply because they have a sizable head start based on room rates, alone. And they are a "captive audience". Disney has worked hard to make them that way precisely BECAUSE it harnesses more dollars.

I agree that I don't specifically matter. My point really is that WDW should offer perks to on site guests. There is no fair or unfair. It is up to each family to decide what they want that is being offered and what they will give up to get it. I am just saying there are off site guest who will gladly pay a price for those perks so they do not have to stay on site. I think it would be a mistake to miss out on that money. Like I said before Universal gladly took my money for all those perks.

Golf claps for your rant, dude! Or was that "discussion?"

The Irony Bus will pick you up shortly - I hear they go to WDW now.

That's ok.. I understand, you have nothing constructive to add to a DISCUSSION, so you make jibs at people. Good on you! you found a talent!

100% agree. Some people are just so negative and particular about everything, even a Disney forum!

You're right. "Go to legoland instead" is constructive. "So is lecturing" is not constructive. Thank you for clearing that up. You are happy and helpful!
