Unfair :(

IF it concerns you that much then do MK and AK a little more than usual. There has been little if any impact with FP+ at these parks. If going to EPCOT and HS and TSM, TT, and Soarin are absolute must then go very early. Other than that know big changes. When the Pilot ends then FP- will go back to normal. Smart of Disney to Pilot and work out the bugs before fully functional.

They were $36 when we were there in January. Of course there were minimal lines so they weren't needed ;) out longest was 30 minute for fj.

$86 is crazy!

If it were any less, they'd have a tough time getting the money they do for the on site hotels.

If regular FP goes back into effect once the testing is done, off site guests will have an advantage. They'll be able to get more than just 3 FP per day.

The option to purchase includes one front of the line pass per ride. The hotel option is front of the line every time.

I'm the last one to defend FP+ simply based on the lack of information regarding the entire system, but the one thing I don't think people have any right to complain about is preferred treatment that on-site resort guests receive. Sorry, but that's life. Disney SHOULD offer better incentives to guests willing to shell out the money to stay on property.

I think that's fine...if Disney would just tell everyone the rules.

Right now, it's like limbo land. For people who booked offsite before all of this ruckus started...I do feel bad for them. They made the best decision they could with the info out there, and then the rules changed.

Going forward, if Disney ever wants to give more to onsite guests regarding FP, that's fine and they are entitled to do that...but they need to let people know that so they can make an informed choice with their time and money.

Long story short, I do feel bad for off-siters who are getting caught in this FP transition and who didn't know what they were getting into when they booked.

Or they have an ecv. We do t use the buses because of the excessive waits and faulty lift issues. We've seen 4 busses leave without us.

Or they were going from akv to Dtd. That was an hour process without an ecv.

We usually stay at akv, and we love all else but the buses, lol.

Agreed. Unfortunately for our trip to Disney, the family wants to do a day in Universal. It's costing me nearly $1000 for 1 day for our family, if we decide to get the Express Pass. Compared to paying about $1200 for a 7 day park hopper at WDW for our family. But that's where these parks get you, when you are only going for 1 or 2 days...

My thoughts exactly. Unless you're park hopping all over the place and going back and forth to your hotel a couple of times per day, you're not spending 2-3 hours on a bus.

If you stay at the Epcot resorts, you can walk to both DHS and Epcot, making it easy to be there early to enjoy major attractions with no transportation hassles.

Different accommodations offer different advantages and disadvantages in terms of cost, convenience, space, perks, atmosphere, etc. We all make our choices based on our personal preferences and budgets. That isn't unfair, it's a fact of life that applies to everything, not just Disney.

People have to decide how much one ride on a popular attraction is worth to them and make their plans accordingly.

We are staying onsite but are not using fastpass+, The times available and the rides just don't work for us so we will use fastpass if possible and I also think this is a perk of staying onsite.

Idk they can always change to on site if they want the perks. It's not like Disney stopped taking reservations. They just have to evaluate what is important to them.

What rides were you looking for that aren't part of Fast Pass +?

This . . . I completely agree!

No kidding. Can't complain that you don't get a steak dinner when you pay for a Happy Meal, lol.

You can't purchase the same privilege at Universal actually, only a cut down version of it. Plus, FP+ is still in testing, non-Disney guests will be able to purchase once it goes live (I understand)

Not true you can purchase exactly the same privileges as universal onsite guests at the park entrance we have done many times.

No. You only get the opportunity to enter each ride once. On site can do whatever they want.

I think you guys are talking at cross purposes there is a difference between express pass and express pass unlimited and they are priced accordingly.

They sell the unlimited now too. It just costs more. You can buy either the regular or unlimited.

On my recent Disney trip, we spent one night at Universal's Hard Rock Hotel because doing that and buying two day park hopper tickets was cheaper than buying one day of park hopper tickets to drive over and keep the Disney hotel.

No you can purchase unlimited express pass at the park entrance same privileges as onsite hotels

I agree that staying in Disney resorts should come with it's perks, but Disney needs to be open and maintain transparency with their other customers who they actively and pervasively market to, especially local AP holders.

The current situation is probably skewed more than normal, though, because of the beta testing of the new system (which was no doubt easiest for Disney to perform at the resorts they own), together with the presence of the legacy system. I still think that isolating that from the resort guests doing testing would be a lot more problematic than some people think, both from a system perspective and customer relations as long as the beta system is still (what's that word they keep using?....oh yeah) "glitchy".
