Unexplained mix up with Magical Express

Weird.

Many months ago I made ME reservations for our upcoming Dec trip via the DVC members website form. I got the email confirmations, etc etc.

A couple weeks ago, my sister in another state tells me she almost threw away something from Disney for me. She opened it and it was luggage tags! :scared1: They were sent to my name but her address.

Over two years ago, we set up a grand gatherings group and they were part of it. However they have different last names than me (although her husband has the same first name as me) and that trip was not associated with DVC in anyway. I was not an owner then. Also, they did not ever use ME on that trip. They did stay "on property" so I guess they are in the system but how their records were tied to me, my DVC account or my ME reservation request is anyone's guess. I can't figure out how anyone could have sent my ME materials to them.....strange.
 
That's really weird because we just ran into the same problem. We are leaving for DW on Nov. 24th and we have a studio and a 2 bedroom reserved. We received my uncle's tags(he is in the studio and doesn't even live at our address) but we didn't receive ours so I called. They told me that they had been sent to my mom's address!:confused3 How they got that address I have no clue and I have used Magical Express several times in the past and have never had a problem. I wonder what's going on?
 
We are also arriving on November 24th and my ME documents where sent to my sister in Ohio (we live in Maryland).

I think Disney needs a serious revamp of its IT system regarding your personal info, past reservations, etc. All my stuff on the WDW site looks very weird (but all past trips, so I'm not concerned). When I called to change a reservation this year, I gave my phone number and the CM called by a name that wasn't mine! We corrected that, I thought.

I called a few weeks ago to cancel something and the CM asked for my phone number and I gave it -- he said that wasn't it. I tried my cell number. No go. We finally settled on using my confirmation #. When all was said and done, I asked what phone # they did have. He read me off a Florida phone number where I haven't lived for 2+ years. I have had 2 trips since then, have reservations for 2 more, and joined DVC. Don't you think they could figure out where I am?

Sorry that was long-winded, but I think they really have some problems.
 

I was tld that they ahve some new things going on in the system and a new compnay they are working wiht that is supposed to be sending out all the ME stuff and confirmation letters. Looks like they aren't doing very well.
 
Sounds like the new ME processing company was given access to a very old copy of Disney's customer database. :confused3
