I always help at ds school for the tag sale. Over a 2 day period I spend about 4 hours each day pricing the items. I dont mind doing it since I am home most of the day anyway. I have been doing it for at least the last 4 years and I do enjoy it. On the day of the sale there are several faithful moms who always come out and help and spend the whole day there. 3 in particular always help each year and this time we had 2 sales so they helped twice. Well ds says yest, oh mom, I read your name in the school monthly newspaper. I said let me see it, for what etc. Well I read it and it said thank you Mrs. So and So for doing all the pricing and for spending all day at the sale. The principal writes the newspaper. Well his secretary, a school mom, is also one of the faithful helpers. I felt really bad because I dont deserve all this praise and I feel the other moms should be thanked too. I dont want to make a big deal about it because its my ds last month at the school but I feel like I want to tell the principal that he should thank the other moms too, we all worked together for the good of the school etc. I even told the principal I would come and help when ds is not in the school because the school is associated with our church so it kind of goes together anyway. Has something like this ever happened to you and how did you handle it.?
