Garden Grill - not the same since it doesn't do the rotation anymore
I've read that the rotation has been fixed now.
Overrated:
-Dumbo . Okay ride, but I can't understand the (at least before FP+) long waits for it, especially when essentially the same ride exists in 2 other places within WDW, and at just about any carnival in the country.
- 20k Leagues (sorry, I know it's a nostalgic fave). I'm pretty claustrophobic and my childhood memories of riding this cramped vehicle don't help. For this reason (cramped vehicle) I almost put Mission: Space as overrated but I enjoy that ride too much to do that.
- Astro Orbiters. I do enjoy the ride when I'm actually in it, and its views of MK are hard to beat, but the 20-30 minute waits for it, the insanely hot elevator ride up to the loading platform, and sometimes less-than-magical CMs staffing the ride make this ride something I try to avoid, though my DD's still enjoy it.
- Body Wars. There are some things in EPCOT I wish could come back, but not this. I hated this.
- Escalators in the Land pavilion. Do they have both of them working yet? The inability, for years, to fix both escalators in this building has always baffled me. Right next to an engineering masterpiece (Soarin'), to boot.
- Toy Story Mania. It's not a bad ride, but I just don't understand why the clamor for this, and the resulting wait times. I'd prefer to ride Great Movie Ride, ToT and RnRC 20 times before riding TSMM once.
Underrated:
- Boatwright's. We just wanted a decent TS meal while staying at POFQ, so we took the boat over to POR one night and ate here. Great meal, and relatively quiet by WDW standards.
- Garden Grill (if the rotation is working). I think the food is okay or a little better than okay, but I love being able to see different parts of Living with the Land.
- Living with the Land. I enjoy seeing things grow, and it seems brand new to me every time I ride.
- The Norway movie. I love Maelstrom, but I also enjoy this little movie after the end of the ride. But I can understand the need to update it to something of this century.
- The Stave Church museum in the Norway pavilion. I'm a Viking history buff, and there's a bit of that to see there, though it's been closed my last couple of trips.
- The toy train track in EPCOT (I think close to Germany). I wish I could build something like that at home.
- American Pavilion. I enjoy all 3 of the shows: the Fife & Drum Corps, Voices of Liberty (though I wish there was more bench seating for this), and the main show. I even enjoy the different flags on display on the way to the theater.
- The Mexico ride. No, it's not one of the better rides at WDW, but it IS an air-conditioned slow boat ride at usually just about the right time for my family as we're getting exhausted right about then. If nothing else, it can be a comfy place to catch a power nap.
- The "hidden" pathway in MK between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. I realize it's not truly hidden, but it always seems quieter on this than the main pathway between the two lands. It's a nice little break from crowds, though it's not saving us any time.
- Adventurer's Club. This was hands down my favorite "bar" of all time. There will never be anything like it again.
- The bat house in AK. I think it's on the Jungle Trek, but not sure. I'm fascinated by bats, and this exhibit is a good one.
- Birds of Wonder in AK. If you have not seen this, do yourself a favor and catch it next time. If being up close to birds isn't your thing, though, then skip it because there are times the birds fly right over the heads of the audience.
- The animation workshop in DHS. They may have gotten rid of this now, but we always enjoyed this.
