UnderCover Tourist

Ok, so I am sure that the answer is somewhere on here... BUT I don't have the patience right now to search for it.

SO..... If you buy you park tickets from UT can they attach them to your KTTW card? I really hate to carry around several cards while at the parks.

YES! We did this last year. It is best to have them put the ticket on your KTTW BEFORE you go into the parks or have used them. It is much easier for them because they can just put the tickets on the card. If they have been used, they have to make sure they get the right ticket with the right name on the correct KTTW. Not to difficult, but more time consuming and more likely a mistake could be made costing you time later.

Yes, they sure can. We have done it several times. I think we have had it done at BLT (Contemporary) concierge.

With our schedule and travel plans for the future, undercover tourist gives us the best price and value. We usually get the 6 day for the price of 5. Usually only have enough time for 5 days on a five night trip, but sometimes it's worth it to get an hour at opening with my little girl before we have to get the magic express. Have you subscribed to the mousesavers.com newsletter? It is emailed on the 15th of the month and always contains a discount link. Anywhere from $1-$6 off their normal prices for mousesavers.com newsletter subscribers.

I just did this last month. It was fairly quick and painless and made my life so much easier. We did it right at check-in. Have a great trip!

We are thinking of using UT this trip too. When you say to have it attached to the KTTW card, do you still order on-line? Is there a place to indicate that is what you are going to do? I thought they sent the tickets in the mail and that is why we are on the fence about using UT - it is so convenient to just have the one card for each of us. Can someone explain in a little more detail?
Thanks

You order online, and they send you the tickets.

Then when you get to the resort, you ask the concierge desk to put the information from the tickets onto your KTTW card. (putting tickets onto the card = the *information* is on the card)

I have done this several times too and it was easy to do. The only trouble I have had was when we had 10day no expiration tickets that we put on our room card. Then we didn't use the cards for a few years and when I did want to use them I was told that there were days left on them and then found out that there were not. It made it a bit confusing. Now, when I get home I always make sure to keep track of it if I have any days left or not.

With recent prices on Non expiration tickets, we have found that the savings is not worth the hassle. If using non expiration tickets, I wouldn't put the ticket on the KTTW card. We usually just buy the 6 day for the price of 5 or get the 7 day for only another $8 per person from UT. SO the savings in the end if we had gotten the 10 day non expiration, would have only been $15 to $20 per person if I remember correctly. The bad news with that is next trip we would only have 3 days left. To then buy another 10 day, it basically will take 3 trips to use all the days on the cards. It's just too much hassle over that much time for me. Not enough of a savings anymore. It used to be much cheaper for the non expiration tickets. Now, not so much. If I went more frequently, I'd just get the AP especially at the DVC discount price.

I like recommending UT to people. It is a good deal as long as you are buying at least 3 days. Even if the prices were the same, I'd probably go with UT just because the price they show IS the price. Disney shows a price on the webpage but it doesn't include tax. I always hate when this is done.

I agree with you totally. We bought one set in 2006 and another in 2008 or 2009. I won't do it again. Any trip for 5 days or more it is better to do like you said and get a 5 or 6 day ticket. We actually went twice in one calendar year and if I had known or could have planned better we could have made use of an annual pass that one year. We went the second week in November and then the next fall we went the first week. But, usually we only go once a year and most of the time it is the same exact week.
