Undercover tickets linked to magic bands adding additional day

Had a quick question for if I was to link my tickets to magic band would I be able to add an additional day when I arrive at walt disney world? Or should I wait until we arrive and do everything there?

1- Yes.

2- Be sure to go into a theme park at least one time BEFORE you upgrade the UT tickets. It will save you money.

Yup you can add a day when you arrive easy peasy! When my parents upgraded their tickets in Dec it even updated on MDE so they could make an extra day of FP+ reservations immediately.

Make sure you bring the actual ticket with you when you upgrade and you should be all set. I also second Robo, use the ticket once then upgrade.
