Uncle John's 6 day adventure!!! new photos Pg. 7

Off to the Land!!! It was stroller haven outside the Land, I thought lines would be long.......Nope, walked right on to Living with the Land......they both enjoyed it very much!!!! We checked on Soarin, it did have about a 20 minute wait........we had a 12:15 ressie at LeCellier!! It was about 11:45, we didnt want to chance it......so off to Canada!!!! We went by Imagination and strolled over to Canada....The movie was about to start, we asked the girl if she thought we would make our ressie.....she said no problem.....
We went in to the theatre in the round.........The movie started and Grandma and Jess were amazed!!!!! They thought it was so cool.....the mountain scenes were awesome!!!!! They both just stood there turning around looking at all the screens.......We left and walked in to LeCellier.

I dont think I shared this with anyone before but I couldnt get a ressie at LeC., it was all booked up, I started in May trying to get in....no luck.....
Well the lady that gave us the park tickets said she would try to get us in.....
She works for a large company in our town and they have some sort of a corporate account with Disney....She called her contact and got us in for lunch for 4 people!!! The ressie was in her last name...but the CM at Lec. never blinked an eye....I gave them the last name and they had us on the list........We waited about 15 minutes for our table......I felt bad, people kept walking up trying to get a table......they just told them they were completly booked and didnt have anything avail. Some people just dont have a clue about the world and the good restaurants!!!!!!

We had a great table near the entrance to the seating area......We were on the DDP, Grandma & Jess were not.....We told them we were buying their lunch......Jess looked at the menu and said "holy Crap, I'm getting a hamburger" we told him he was not coming to Lec. and getting a burger!!!!

They both orded the filet !!!! DW and I ordered the NY Strip!!!!
The steaks were great as usual but I have to say I was disapointed in the meal.......I mean we got a 10oz. steak and about 10 pieces of cubed potato, that was it!! Nothing else comes with the meal......no salad, no other veggie, nothing.........Sure we got the bread sticks.....I guess I should have orded a appetizer........Jess and I did have a beer.....We ended up splitting our deserts... Grandma and Jess split one and DW and I shared.......It was OK nothing spectacular.....
I think I will be the first on this site to say "I probably wont go back to Lec." For the 2 of them to eat, our gratuity and beer it cost about $100. I just dont think it was worth it......they enjoyed the steaks.....said they were great and all.......

HAHAHAHAHA! Late! Sounds just like my mom and my sister. They make me late for everything and it is SO frustrating! I hate it when there's somewhere we have to be and we have to rush around because they made us late. I've always been the punctual one in the family.

Yep, DW and I are the punctual ones!!!! We usually go early.........

Sorry you didn't care for your meal at LeCellier. To tell you the truth, I didn't like it much, either. I thought the breadsticks were gross.

We cont. around world showcase and went in to every building......picked up a nice dark beer in Germany (Jess paid!!). $27.50 for 3 beers and a pop!!

We rode the viking ship, went in to Mexico, rode the boat (they have changed that ride). DW and Grandma looked at the silver jewelry, ddint get anything.....

By this time it was about 4:30, I thought they would want to leave by 3:00. We were doing great.....no complaining about anything....just a great day!

After Mexico we saw test track!!! Now I was concerned about this situation....Jess had quad. bypass surgery in Dec.....I didnt think he should ride it......I actually read all the warnings at rides......NO HEART CONDITIONS!!!! He wanted to ride it.......Grandma too!!! We look at the sign out front 20 min. wait......singles line 10 min... We strolled in the building.....walked right through the rat maze and went right in to one of the rooms where they show you the little movie.....I couldnt believe it.....The doors open and we had a 5 min. wait from that point......

I finally got to do some people watching while in line......We saw this girl about 18 years old......(tat you will like this one!!) She had piercings everywhere.....a straight pin with balls on the ends right in the center of her chest........ouch......it was about 4" below the neck......she also had them all over her face........but when we went past her I looked back and saw she was branded on her back....she had 2 footprints (approx. 4" long) burned in to her back!!!!
Super ouch.....I mean yowwwie!!!!! Where do you go to get that done???

Anyhoo we got in to a car.......We had our own car, we put Grandma and Jess in front to get the full effect!!!!! They loved it.......When we crashed through the doors and headed outside Jess was yelling.....YEEE HAAAA, he had his fist up in the air pumping all the way through the high speed curve!!!!
When we stopped I asked him if he liked it, he said "We are riding that again".....and we did.....we headed right back in line and did it a second time.....they were both laughing and having a blast.....it was great to see....

We then went to Mission Space. Jess and I rode the spaceship.....we did do the less intense one.......he really liked that one too!!! DW and Grandma opted to sit on a bench for a bit......We then strolled to Innoventions area and went in to the coca cola sample building and tried the different pops!!!

It was aroung 6:00pm by this time.....they wanted to head home.....We didnt get to do Soarin but it was an awesome day.......It was sad to see them leave........DW and I just headed back to POR and enjoyed a quick swim.

We went to the foodcourt at POR, we didnt see anything we really liked so we strolled on to POFQ and had our counter service meal there.....much better selection there IMO.

All in all a great day at Epcot!!!

Wonderful updates UJ! I'm glad Grandma and Jess had a nice time and it sounds like a perfect Epcot Day. I've never been to LeCellier, but I'm hoping to try it someday. I'm not a big steak eater, so it's never been top on my list. Of course, being on the DIS, I feel like it's any Disney fan's duty to eat there at least once, so I suppose I will try it at some point in my Disney life!

Can't wait to hear what you did next....

No Soarin? I hope you got back to Epcot to do it!

Glad Jess liked Test Track. I really don't know why they put those warnings up. I mean, I can understand the orange version of Mission Space, but Test Track? Heck, if he rides a Harley, he can do Test Track!

Sounds like a fun Epcot day! I'm glad Jess and Grandma got to ride Test Track and loved it - fun ride! I've never been to LeCellier either. Looking forward to more!

Heart attacks on a bun! We do the same thing at the quick service restaurants. You'll see if you read my upcoming TR (coming to a thread near you...in October 2008!) I need to stop being a slacker and upload all my pics!
I did not realize they had cheese sauce at the fixin's bar! How'd I miss that?


Ohana's sounds/looks great! I want to go just for those shrimp skewers! That's on the list for next trip!

Jess's shoes don't look very comfy for walking a long time. Were his feet hurting by the end of the day?

You shoulda had the filet at LC....it's SO SO good! I'm sorry you didn't have the best meal there. I absolutely love the place!
