UJ IS BACK IN THE HOUSE!!!
Momma picked out the new upright ones......black.....she is very excited...
(yes my sweetie gets excited about a washer and dryer!!)

That is because she is the QUEEN of LAUNDRY! And yes, you can tell her I said so.

It was tough today, we did a final walk through of the old house....cleaned up a few final things.....left the keys in the mailbox......we got in the minivan and I looked at momma she looked at me and we both broke down.....it was very sad.....we watched our kids grow up in that house....lots of fun times there!!!!

Oh my gosh, this made me bawl. I need a moment.

Oh well, off to a new adventure......kind of like a new ride at the world for the first time.....you never know what to expect!!!!

It's gonna be great! A brand new place to make some brand new memories! Wait for me to get there okay... I don't want to miss anything!

For uncle Mike running gas lines for the stove and dryer for me in the new house......(they had elec. hook up, we like gas)!!!!!!

Uncle Mike rocks! Just so ya'll know... Uncle Mike is married to another one of my sisters. There's a whole mess of us... gets a little confusing.

Hey Uncle John! I have been reading along, just not posting. Life is busy with a 3 month old, 4 year old and 5 year old. When we built our house 8 years ago we found lots of little things wrong after closing. Keep on them because they seem to forget about you once you close. Good luck!

I hadn't heard that story here in Detroit about the bear. Our news coverage goes from the mayor scandal, to the Red Wings, back to the mayor!!

BTW - I would be thrilled to pieces to get a new washer/dryer and would cry my eyes out leaving my house. I get very sentimental about those things!

Can't wait to hear more.

Sorry folks its tough to get on the puter here......the boys (15 & 14) are on it all the time now that school is out.....they both have xbox live too, so they tap into the cable.....I have to get them hooked up with wireless for the xbox so I can get on the boards!!

I wish I could have seen the red wings parade......I did get to go to a game in the first series with Nashville!!!!
Kwame, I just sit back and laugh....I work for the state....its all pretty much a joke, sad to say.......Jenny can go back to Canada anytime!!

Re: House, I called them Monday at 8:00am.....they were on it....air conditioner was charged by 11:30, shingles by 3:00, we had a window sticking they fixed it.......still waiting on some screens.....everything else is pretty good......We still need the fridge, washer & dryer & microwave....I did cook dinner last night...well sort of: chicken tenders & tater tots!! (hey, the boys werent even here. baseball & drivers ed.) I did get to eat salad.....tasted good to get some veggies after all the boxed crap!

My son was out on the open road driving last night for the first time....god help me!!

One good thing about the move.....the post office cant find us!! No mail, No bills!!! We did the address change thing weeks ago.....what morons!!!

Well, its hump day!! I have to get going to work!!!

Ok, here are the photos before we moved in!! Its a mess now!!! Back of house, deck is done now.

Kitchen: white micro is being replaced with stainless & black, appliance will all be the stain. & black.

Family room, we have a sitting room (living room) in front. I dont have a photo of that......no TV in the liv. room!!

The boys rooms, the doors angle at each other.....

My wayward daughters room & the room I am in now...we put the puter desk in there for time being...( I have to do the basement this fall!)

Master BDR- we love the tray ceiling with fan...we each have walk in closets!!

I will take some more phots when we get settled in more!! We like it a lot!!!

Master bath....2 sinks!! My favorite thing about the Mbath, you can see the second doorway into the private shower & toilet....its my private little cat litter box!!!

Mommas garden tub- its across from the sinks!!

Glad things are finally coming together with the house. Love the pictures of the interior. Tray ceiling is tre cool! Those double sinks must be so nice. I know not of that luxury. I think the black appliances in the kitchen are going to look fantastic!

Did I mention moving sucks??? We have fridge in the kitchen that we cant use....too big...going back....Our salesman from Lowes calls today, your washer and dryer are in!! Great, when can you deliver them?? My wife is going to the laundromat tonight.....it would really help us to get them here tomorrow.....Nope, cant deliver until friday between 12 & 3....great i'll be at a golf outing, wife is working, my son will be at the dentist and gramma always takes him to lunch after the dentist......other boy, I dont know where he will be.......hey, i have an idea i will just come pick them up......so off to Lowes I go with a friend with a truck without a cap..(my truck has a cap).

I get to Lowes, skippy brings my washer and dryer to the front of the store...I say gee skippy thats a huge dent in the box, is the washer damaged?? Oh no sir....not at all.....I call Mgr. jim over, look at this box mgr. jim.....pretty bad shape huh?? yes, sir I will make a note of that......We load it all up, drag it in to the house......open the box up sure enough, smashed to smitherines!!! hey, Mgr jim come get your crap!! get me a new washer...

UGH!! For as expensive as those upright units are you would think they'd be a little more careful with that stuff! What a HUGE Hope you can get everything worked out soon and then can start to relax in your new house.

I posted this over at Sharky's but decided to post it here too... just in case UJ doesn't make it over there anytime soon.

We are trying to adopt a puppy! We've been approved by the rescue and are having him come for a couple days starting Monday to give it a trial run. They like to do this so that we are sure he's the right dog for us and that we are the right people for him.

We went and played with him this morning and Mama Love is in with this dog!

Here he is!

His name is Tank for now... that is subject to change though. They called him that because he reminded them of a little tank engine. He is (we think) a lab and basset hound mix and is 5 months old. He is the cutest thing I ever saw!
