Unable to Make Reservations Online and in App

All day today, I have been getting a site error where I am unable to make or modify online dining reservations. The Disney app stalled and would not even let me access the ADR link. So, the first two ADRs I made for our newly-booked October 2018 vacation were made over phone because the site would not show any search results. It kept saying, “unable to search for reservations at this time.” The cast members who helped me over the phone said they were unaware of anything being down online. Maybe it’s just me/my account? ETA I tried logging out, logging back in; uninstalling the app; clearing the cache.

Yes and that did not work. The only thing that is working right now, outside of calling them, is using the Touring Plans reservation finder and doing two ADRs at a time. I set up a few searches overnight and when I got the text notification for availability, I was able to reserve dining. However, thinking that I could make more ADRs after that, I tried again on the Disney site and kept getting the error message. Now I’m even more confused why it worked when triggered by the Touring Plans finder but not on its own ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I kept getting the same error when I booked October dates as well. The only way it would work for me was if I looked up each restaurant specifically, then put in the date & time (in lieu of searching date /time & seeing list of restaurants available).

I tried that too and it still gave me the same error message. On the bright side, I am almost done making ADRs even though it was a little more tedious to use the other site.

That must be so frustrating - but glad you have found a work-around! Hope you are getting the ADRs you want!

Hmm, bummer. I know TA-booked were sometimes giving people problems, but hadn’t heard for direct.

Thank you! We are except for one night that doesn’t have dinner booked but that’s only because my husband and I are trying to figure out where we want to be that night. Other than that, it’s all good!

I have been having this problem for well over a month. I am so frustrated. I had to call to make our September reservations. Right now I have two issues with July. The first is that I have a reservation I need to modify the number of guests from 6 to 2. If it were a smaller number I wouldn’t care but this is large enough it would likely open up another reservation for someone else so I’d like to do it.

The other is that I’m trying to find a Be Our Guest reservation. Luckily I have one already, but I’d like to switch it to a different night. I am unable to use the Disney site or the app for dining reservations. I had a search set up on the Touring Plans reservation finder but finally stopped it as it was frustrating me. It found reservations on three different occasions but then I was unable to use the site or app to actually make the reservation. By the time I got through on the phone, of course was the reservation was long gone. Oh well. At least I have one reservation.

I hope this problem gets fixed before I have to make reservations for Thanksgiving. If I have to do that on the phone, I will likely miss out on reservations we really want. I have tried all of the tricks people on this board suggest to no avail. Very frustrating.
