OK...I have to ask...I'm in the emergency service field so I've been puked on once or twice...I still can't seem to get used to it tho...but its part of the job and you take the good with the bad...
So, this leads me to ask...have you ever been in one of the M:S pods when someone has lost their lunch? If so, what happened? Did they stop the ride so you could clean up? Do people really make it to the complimentary puke bags?

I say-if you think you might get sick-take a bonine!

Thanks for the stories!

Haha, I couldnt imagine being sick into one of those bags. It seems the centrifugal force wouldnt send it right back into your face :thumbsup2 , and you dont want to lean forward to use the bag because they tell you that you'll feel more sicker if you do (that one I tested, curiosity killed the cat. ..or just made figmentguy queasy). haha

sadly, I'd be one of those people who did puke, also sadly, I know my BF will make me ride the ride anyway if we go to epcot this year........personally, if someone does puke, I think for sanitary reasons, they'd have to stop the ride, but how would they know someone puked?

I'm sure they have cameras in all the pods to keep an eye on people in case they pass out or get really sick. It's a fairly long line so I'm sure they wouldn't want people out of their sites for a few minutes.

I've never seen anyone get sick even after the ride!

I've never been on the ride with someone who has gotten sick, but I have ridden after someone had obviously been sick. It smelled of puke, and there was even some splatters on my screen. Eww... :crazy2:

I've never been on the ride with someone who got sick, but I did have to do some dancing around some "surprise puddles" on the ground outside the store!

EWWW! Do they sanitize the place after someone spews? If not, that is just plain nasty! I don't do MI, so not my problem, but still its a gross thought!!

When Mission Space first started testing we had annual passes and got to preview it, well after we first came off their was a giant puddle of somebodies wasted lunch. Anyway, I cant say I've been stuck with someone who looses thier lunch, :scared1: Although I have had occasions when someone almost puked on Mission Space a few times. What my mom does is makes me go and do a intensity test and makes me tell her whether or not she will puke or not.

Whew ... if someone lost it while I was riding, I am afraid mine would be lost as well. That is one thing I don't have the stomach for, so to speak.

I am feeling sick just reading this thread! Eeeeeewwwww!

I thought I was going to throw up after the ride was over. I even passed up a Mickey Bar! LOL.

It took me a good hour to feel better and I didn't really feel right all night.

My problem was I kept looking down at the console trying to figure out what darn button I was supposed to push ... that is what did it to me.

No puke though thank goodness!

I don't do MI...

Didn't know there WAS a "Mission Impossible" ride to do or not do.

:goodvibes

I know someone who got thrown up on while at Disney. They got a free outfit out of it (a disney one at that!) They do clean up after someone is sick, those poor custodial people, they do a lot, and don't get a lot of credit for all they do!

Yuck! Sooner or later we'll get a first-hand account of what happens. Like the OP, I am also curious to know if they stop the ride at the point of the 'protein spill', or if you have to endure the remainder of the ride. That would be such a horrible event!

Well, I guess that was subconscious, LOL. To me, it would be Mission Impossible! :rotfl:

This is the reason I never ride MS on my solo trips. My family loves this ride, and there are four of us, so it's perfect. I know that the ride doesn't make any of us sick, so I can relax and enjoy the experience. If I rode with strangers, I'd be so nervous that someone was going to hurl, I wouldn't be able to enjoy the ride.

We rode it the year it opened. Our son and his friend got throw up all over them from a previous rider. We didn't know it was there until they got wet from it during the ride. It must have been on the console or something and got slung on them when the ride started. When we got off, we showed a CM and she said that they knew someone had thrown up but they didn't know in which pod they had been in. They didn't stop the ride then to clean it up either. She directed us to the director of the ride--or whatever they are called. They were both taken to the big store near MS and told to pick out any new clothes they wanted to replace what they had on.

It sounds like this ride should come with a HUGE biohazard sticker!

When we rode the first time the couple we rode with had already been on it...and they were ok (thank goodness)
Its nice to see that people are taken care of if they do get spooged on...but you would think that the CMs would be more concious of it...after all-like I said-its part of my job but still pretty gross!!! The smell is the worst!

So, do I stand in line with extra bonine and tell people if you're in the same pod with me -you get to take the meds first!!! *JK*

Here's to another hoping for another successful journey (minus the biohazard)

How many people to a pod? If it's 4 I'll risk it with my family - I've cleared up my kids puke enough over the years - but someone else - Eeeuuk!! :sad2:

My daughter went back and rode the rough version and she didn't feel too well for quite a while after that. She didn't puke though, although someone did puke on the bus at Fort Wilderness...lol Maybe they should put a warning on the bus transportation...hahahaha :rotfl:
