UK AP Holders - help please!

My Boyf and I are going to wdw i Jan, and again later in the year. We want to get the disney dining experience as well to get money off food and drink. Has anyone ordered an AP in advance and been sent a voucher? If so, did you get charged VAT on it? I have ordered items from the US before, and got sent an invoice from DHL/UPS.
Any help appreciated. Thanks

We have AP this year for the first time and you do get charged State Tax at about 7%

You will not be charged wny import duties as you are not bringing anything in, its a voucher to get it over there.
We do will call and collect them there, dn't see point in paying $10 when we pass guest services just about every day.

The only advantage of having it sent is that you can then pre-order your DDE card using the voucher.

If you want to order the DDE card in advance you will need to have an AP voucher shipped as they will ask for the seriel number.

We've not had any problem with this or any VAT charges as you are not actually buying goods.

You could avoid shipping charges by opting for will call, then after collecting your AP you could call from WDW and order the DDE card but you would need to wait for it to be processed for you to collect a temporary letter to get discounts on your trip. This may mean you miss out on a few days of discounts depending when you arrive as the DDE office is not open at weekends.

You don't have to have the voucher to order DDE, just ask for the ref number and they will happly give it to you over the phone.

You can then order you DDE card and pick your AP's up at any guest relations office.
