Flying Fish looks delicious, but with so many choices I'm not sure which to deem worthy of my ADR dinner list! Luckily, there's always the thought of a second trip this year!

Forgot to mention that FF has the best steak I've ever had on Disney property!:thumbsup2 We also had an incredible osso bucco there a few weeks ago, it's not only for seafood lovers!

Well..looks like I've found another place that we need to try! Seriously, I am drooling here! :)

Great update - and yes, a totally adorable couple!:lovestruc

Can't wait to go back to the Flying Fish!

Next please!

You can certainly call me that!

Or Shari - which is my real name! :) I feel we're kinda intimate as I've seen photographic evidence of your disney diet!

Love the reviews, will definately help me choose what ADR's I want to make. With the exception of Artist Point I have not been to any of the other restaurants :thumbsup2

BREAKFAST!!!!! I’ve literally been waiting since Kona Café for another breakfast meal!!! I LOVE BREAKFAST!!! Plus this was our first Character Breakfast ever!!! So I was entirely too happy to be waking up at 6am for our ADR at 730 over at the Beach Club resort!!!

So I call down to the front desk and ask what the best way to get over to the Beach Club is. She tells me to take the bus to DHS, then from there, take the boat over to the Boardwalk. I’m thinking okay, we should leave our room no later then 645 to wait for the bus. We arrive at the bus stop at 645…25 mins later a bus for DHS finally arrives!!! Wow we’re gonna be cutting close. We get to DHS at around 725 and now we gotta bust our butts over to the loading dock…on our way over there a family that was leaving the dock area asks us if we we’re going to try to take the boat over to the Boardwalk area. We say yes, then they said that one of the cast members told them the boats don’t run until 8am!!! :scared1: :headache: WTH!? By this time it’s past 730 and we’re stranded. I mean , yeah, we could walk, but it will take us at least 15-20 mins to walk all the way over to the Beach Club!!!

That same family also had an ADR at Cape May, and one of the CM’s saw us running around like psycho’s trying to figure out what to do next. She came over asked what the issue was, not even 2 minutes later, she has a direct bus for us to take over to the Beach Club and to not worry about our ADR’s!!!! SCORE!!! :worship:

TIP #201: BOATS RUN ONLY PAST 8AM!!! Hopefully this will save you all lots of time and energy knowing this!

So after a crazy morning, we get to the Beach Club! No pics of the outside cuz we’re hauling butt to Cape May…I’m hungry after all!! We apologize for showing up late, and no worries from them at all! :worship:

Lets get on with the festivities!!!

So we get seated and we get a fantastic waitress named Sui Chun….you think I’m adorable, check her out! :rotfl2: She was always there for a refill, asking different questions about our vacation, where we’re from, etc. So freakin cute! Anyways, she explained that the Characters all make there rounds to each table so to be keeping an eye out for them and to not get up to get food if you see them close by. We did exactly as she stated and we got to see every character!!!

First off: DH's main man..

Look how stoked DH is! LOL!

Goofy came so quick, that I didn’t even get a chance to take my sweater off!!! :woohoo:

Didn’t take too many pics of the food since it’s standard buffet style breakfast : Fresh fruit, yogurt selections, scrambled eggs & omelets made to order, biscuits and gravy, breakfast pizza (BOMB), smoked salmon, mickey waffles, bacon & sausage, potatoes, assorted hot & cold cereals, bread pudding, muffins, danish, donuts, bagels & breads, coffee, tea, and juice!!! ~ 18.99 @ 2 adults

Look how good those Mickey Waffles look!!! This should be framed and mounted in my kitchen! It’s definitely a piece of art, don’t you agree?!
The oatmeal was freakin good! I eat oatmeal 5 days out of the week and I was dying for some oatmeal, and this hit the spot!

Some more character pics..

DH!!! You better be checkin' out those Mickey Waffles!!! :rotfl:

I loved this place!!! Not many kids which was weird!! Lots of couples!! Older and younger!!! So adults with no kids out there…don’t be afraid…come out and play with the Beach-faring characters!!! They’ll love you!! :lovestruc

For those using the Deluxe Dining Plan, they take 1 credit per person because it’s a Character Dining restaurant, so it’s 2 credits total.

For those paying OOP, here was our total for 2 adult buffets(less for children) , with tax = $40.45

Yes, a little expensive for breakfast , but there really is lots to choose from so if you’re a big eater, this place will be perfect for you! What’s even better is that you get to interact with Characters for those that are interested! They weren’t trying to rush through at all…in fact the characters came around a second time, and Goofy sat down next to me while I was eating for a few seconds, “chatting”, well, communicating the best we can! Lol! Honestly we had fun! DH said for sure next time we’re going to do more breakfasts! Yay! He said next time and another Yay cuz he said more breakfast!!! This calls for a Happy Elaine(Seinfeld) Dance! :dancer:

Yay! Glad I can help with the decision making process!!! So many options right?

WOW!!! That Cape May breakfast looks sooo yummy!

You and your DH are so adorable!!

We have an ADR for the Cape May character breakfast on our last morning of our July trip. We're staying at Boardwalk Villas so we figured it would be convenient to go there when it opens at 7:30 before hitting the road. DH and I also love breakfast, and we love breakfast buffets so we can try different foods. My boys LOVE the characters too, and so do we!! DH and I are DVC members (we own at BWV) and we will be 65 when the contract expires in the year 2032...I can totally picture myself, at that age, still acting like a little kid at those character breakfasts!! :lmao:

Flying Fish looks wonderful too. Not going there on this trip but it is a strong possibility for our next one. We go to Disney World every other year in July. This summer, my boys will be 3 and 5 so my little one is too little for the kids' camp in the evenings. Next time we go after that my little guy will be 5 so DH and I will put them in the camp for one evening for a few hours and go to a nice romantic dinner. Flying Fish is a definite possibility for that, but I have others in mind as well (Narcoossee's, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Bistro de Paris, California Grill and of course Victoria & Albert's!). There I go again, planning WAY too far ahead...I guess I should go on the first trip before I begin planning the next one that is 2 years later!! And why is it that when I start any kind of trip planning, I start by checking out the food?! Goodness, I need help! :rotfl:

But seriously, I'm actually a lot like you. I eat very healthy all the time and I indulge (a.k.a., PIG OUT!!) on vacation! We only go on one big vacation a year so I make the most of it and just go back to good eating habits and my exercise routine when I get home, although I do try to squeeze in some workouts on vacation too...makes me feel better about the eating and like I will still be a size 4 when I return! ;)

Awesome review! I can't wait to try this place when we're there! We're big breakfast fans, so that looks totally yummy!

I do have a question about the credits though - do you mean it was 2 credits per person from the deluxe plan? I thought only the ones marked "2" on the brochurehttp://disneyworld.disney.go.com/media/wdw_nextgen/CoreCatalog/WaltDisneyWorld/en_us/PDF/2010DeluxeDining.pdf were 2 credits per person?? I'm confused!

Ok a few words of wisdom From the Bobble to the Clank.

1. Your writing style although very entertaining and keeps you wanting to come back for more of the food porn you deliver. You lost me when you referenced yourself in the 3rd person mode. See Flying fish critque.

2. Your DH shirt on the Cape May day? Long Beach State undefeated in Football since 1991. National Championship worthy team? No. Football team ceases to exist? Yep. I know this because I was born and raised in the LBC.

3. Either your DH is checkin that A** out or he is thinking gawd she really doesn't need to go for seconds.:rotfl:

Lesha, Can I call you Lesha, I feel like we are friends now. I mean after all I invited you to Le Cellier. :woohoo: Flying fish looked like the Kaboom. Makes me wish we would have ressied up there. Cape May for Breakfast will be marked off the list in less than 2 weeks. Can't wait for the breakfast pizza. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm coming out of the closet (the review-reading lurking closet, that is) to say how much I'm enjoying your reviews. I hope you let us know in the end which of all these scrumtious meals were your favorites.

Also, what snacks did you like? Any that were not sweet?
