Yes, it's possible that restaurants will not be able to accommodate the extra person. You can try to modify the ADRs to include the extra person. If you are unable to modify the ADRs, then you can try showing up to the restaurant with the extra person and see if they can fit the extra person in, but be prepared that one person may be turned away and need to eat elsewhere.

Can you see if you can book a table of 2 at approximately the same time. That way you can eat at the same time but maybe not in the same part of the restaurant - might be nice if you have an adult couple who dont have any kids in the party? Also i would call disney dining - they can modify them for you might be a bit easier than trying to do it online.

Yes, it’s a problem. Some restaurants may accommodate you, some may accommodate you but you’ll wait a long time and some may say no. I would either look for a reservation for 9 or assume one person may not dine with you and consider it pixie dust if they let 9th person join you. Another option would be a reservation for 2 and split up your group. An 8 top table will not fit 9 so now they need an additional table or a bigger table than they planned for your group.

There is also a feature on the app that may let you add someone day off. In December there were 2 of us on our ADRs and it only showed once for us the whole week. It was for a non-Disney restaurant (bluezoo at the dolphin)

As a former hostess, this was our biggest pet peeve and we were not usually willing to accommodate because we felt it was rude and people would always say it’s the youngest they forgot to include to try make the hostess feel guilty. I would recommend going a little early, being very nice and hoping for the best.

Good luck getting it fixed.

That happened to us. We had my 8 month old granddaughter, and I did not realize I was supposed to include her. After our first ADR, the hostess suggested I call Disney Dining and add her for our other reservations. They were very helpful. Garden Grill had us split up into a table of 4 and a table of 5. Be Our Guest was able push tables together for us. Whispering Canyon squeezed us in, but it was tight. Chef MIckey's put us in a corner and squeezed us in. Overall, it worked out, but had they not known in advance, they would have struggled to be as accommodating. I would call Disney Dininig.
