All good ideas, but a land sea option would be too much money in his eyes.
We did book today to go to WDW in March though, so I am happy about that. I love WDW, just was hoping to try the cruise this time around. Maybe in a few years I can get him straightened out. LOL!

If you even THINK it's a possibility that he'll change his mind in future years, book as far out in advance as you can. Prices can drastically change from say 14 months before the cruise to what you're looking at today, which is less than two months before the cruise you were looking at. So if you're willing to put a refundable deposit down for the cruise, you'll save lots of money and then it would be easier to sell the addition of 3 or 4 days at the World. You can just book the World portion on your own when you might get a deal emailed to you closer to the departure date!

Good luck and be super careful. We're supposed to get 6-9 inches of snow in central Ohio between midnight tonight and end of the day on Wednesday. Please also be aware that nobody in this town knows what to do with their motor vehicle when it's snowing. 20% of us drive correctly. 40% still got 70, then are baffled when they end up bouncing into the guardrail. The other 40% drive four mph and are baffled when they are rear-ended by group 2.

All I know is they've got 18 days to get it cleared up, becuase my flight to Orlando leaves the morning of Valentine's Day. And I'm not missing it...

wow, I can;t beleive you guys are getting hit. I'm up by the MI line and we only have a light snow forcasted with no accumulation. I do think we are supposed to get more later this week though.

Well DH and I have talked about doing a DCL cruise since last summer. Well mostly I talked and he listened. (and he didn't even do that part very well) So I brought it up again last night. I am turnign 40 in Feb and wanted to go in early March. And he still won't book it. Last night he told me he would rather go to WDW instead. He knows DD4 loves it (we have gone the last 2 years) and he just feels to limited on a ship. I tried to explain all the benefits of the ship and the pluses, but he just kept shaking his head like he wasn't convinced. I know he would love it and so would DD. He has a problem with change though and likes to do the same things over and over, so once he does try something and likes it we then do it alot. LOL! I have read books and done so much research for the cruise, and I am so sad he won't give it a chance. I was so excited for it too.
So at this point it looks like we are going to WDW. Now I'm happy with that as well, but wish we could try DCL and give it a chance. Maybe after a few years of bugging him and as DD gets older, she can work on him too. LOL!
So thats my rant for today.

I booked the EB transatlantic for two. I arranged for my mother to come for a three week visit to watch the kids. I contacted her boss to negotiate the time off. I tell my wife.
Her response was loud, contentious, and unpleasant. Twice that week I seriously considered contacting a divorce attorney. She didn't just object - she got so angry and mean that the kids didn't want to be anywhere near her for some time.
Somehow I am a mean, rude, selfish, and awful person because I entertained the idea of going into the middle of the ocean leaving the kids in a situation where we couldn't get to them in a matter of hours.
