i know year to year weather changes and what one year is hot next can be chillier. With that said just trying to get an average idea of temperatures and weather for packing and if it's still water park/swimable weather -- and yes I know pools are heated too but that doesn't help when you have to get out and are chilled to the bone especially taking into account an overly dramatic going on 10 year old who will compare the temp change to the North Pole :lmao:

It does vary. Some years, it was nice late summer/early fall weather with temps in the 70s or low 80s. Last year, it was unusually hot with temps in the 90s just like August.

You should be prepared for it being in the 80s or needing a jacket -- especially at night. It reAlly varies from year to year, from my experience.

Good point about the evenings. In November, even if it is relatively warm during the day, it can cool off quite a bit at night because it isn't usually nearly as humid as in the summer so the temp drops more easily once the sun is down.

How does one pack or plan the water parks or pool then?? We just came back from Turks and Caicos and not only hot and humid but hit hurricanes going and coming - so summer months in Disney make me cringe and I'm running out of doable weeks to go otherwise without running into a major holiday for school time off. :sad2:

Well we don't do the water parks so that's not an issue for us and most trips, even in the summer, we don't do the pool, but we always bring our suits just in case. I don't think we've ever had weather during Jersey week that wasn't okay for swimming. We're just not big pool people.

For November, I pack shorts and t-shirts, a hoodie sweatshirt, 1 pair of jeans, and swimsuits. We've had plenty of good swim days the times we've gone in November (2013 and 2015). We did typhoon lagoon last year too. We'll be there again this November too. I love the weather in November.

Been a few times in November. We swim every day, visit TL or BB, and wear shorts. Most nights we wear a hoodie. One year it was very chilly at MVMCP, we wore jeans and hoodies and were still cold. We love love love going to DW in Nov. Our anniversary is 11/11 so we have been there a few days before and after that date. Have fun!

I would pack light layers. Plan on needing long sleeves or a light jacket for the mornings and evenings with balmy afternoons.

We went Jersey week in 2014, it was cold (winter cold) the day we arrived, followed by a cool day and then it got hot.

If you go on Weatherunderground they have a "history" section where you can type in whatever date you want, ex November 8th then 2015, 2014, 2013 etc and it will give you the actual temp that day for each year. Then you will have an accurate detailed weather report....

I've always gone that week for years and as other said it can be quite warm during the day and cooler at night.
I didn't need a jacket at night and wore shorts every day - being from NE it was very pleasant for me - but there was a few times I would not have minded having one come 11PM

Also be prepared for it to be very cold when you get home - more than once I have got off the plane at midnight and there is a fair amount of snow on the ground.

If OP is from NJ, that's highly unlikely. It is extremely rare to get snow here in early November. I reme - mamber what a big deal it was when it snowed on Thanksgiving.
Well it is unusual - but as I recall all the flights to NY/NJ were cancelled in 2011 around this time (snowtober) - I thing that same thing happened in November 2014 (Snowvember) as well. Unfortunately I flew home during both of these and Jet Blue was quick to cancel/delay the flights so there were a lot of very unhappy folks from NY NJ

that being said it is rare - but be prepared for the cold when you get home - that is the main thing - I typically get the latest flight on the day and spend the day in the parks - so I'm not really dressed for it - so you want to pack so you can get to that stuff thats all.

Agree with all that has been said. Mornings can sometimes be chilly too. The timing of Jersey week varies a bit each year. It is always the week of election day. Schools are closed the Thursday and Friday of that week for the NJEA convention and some districts even close the whole week. We are going Nov.5-12 this year.

We have been in Nov. in previous years, and planning that same week this year. I have the Fox 35 app (Orlando) on my phone, and check their weather predictions starting a week or so ahead to get an idea. I would say to plan for anything! We have needed both shorts and then pants and sweatshirts on November trips, so you just never know.

So it's that week you are going? I ask because I was trying to avoid a busy week so I booked Nov. 7-10. First week of Nov. last year it was hot and humid.

Probably going to be pretty busy. Not only Jersey week but it's the end of Wine and Dine at Epcot and also the half marathon which brings "roughly" 15-20k runners.... That's the same time I'm going too and just preparing myself for a bunch of people.

While I think it will be busy I don't think it will be too bad. Today was my fp day and I got frozen on the 5th and mine train on the 9th with multiple times to choose from. I've read of other times of the year when you couldn't get those at 60 days out or it was late in the day, so I was a bit surprised to be able to easily get both. From what I've read on the wine & dine thread it seems like a lot of people are coming in just for the races, spending a couple of days in the park and leaving Sunday/Monday. We're staying the whole week after, but that doesn't seem to be the norm, at least for those posting about fp's the past few days.
