I am tossing around the idea of going to either park on the Sunday we are going to MNSSHP, with my dw,ds4,dd2 & m&fil. I would plan to be there @ 10am and staying until around 1pm. Then return to ASMO to rest until our 4:45 ps @ CRT. I would like opinions with the following ??s.

-Am I nutts doing this on the day we go to MNSSHP?

-Which if any has the larger kiddie section?

-Any opinion onwhich has the better kiddie section?

-Can we take the tots on our laps on any of the grown up rides?

-Is there any advantages between them as far as bringing my 60+ inlaws?

Thank you in advance for any info.
You are helping with the MAGIC!!!

We took our 5 & 2 yr old to Blizzard Beach in May. It was fantastic! They had a great kids section. There were very small slides that my 2yo could do by himself & some a little bigger that I could do with him. There were also a coulple of slides just a little bigger for the 5yo to do by himself. The dont allow big kids in this area, so you dont have to worry about them getting trompled on. There is also a shallow water play area with different things squirting water & a sand box. The only big ride they would let us ride with him on was the family raft ride(cant rememeber what its called) but it was great, we rode it 3 times. It is a giant circular raft and you all sit around it and hold onto the straps while it goes down the flume. We just had the little one sit by my husband so he could hold onto him. There were even people behind us with a 16mo old ridding it. We loved this park & wished we had time to go back again. Havent been to TL, so I can't comment on it.

The water parks can be exhausting, or relaxing - just depends on what you do. For small kids, as well as your 60+ in-laws, I'd recommend TL. The Katchakiddie Creek children's area is awesome as well as the Bay Slides, that are perfect for toddlers and the younger set. Your in-laws would love the wave pool and Castaway Creek (a beautiful lazy river float trip). I love water parks anywhere and TL is by far my favorite too! It's not only fun, but lush and beautifully tropical too.

We will be down in Orlando to visit Universal and Sea World end of this month and we are squeezing in a day to BB because we love it so much! Our kids are 3 and 6 and it has more for the older one to do. The kiddie area is good but it is the "between" area that wins it over for us (that and the family raft). My son loves the floating ice burgs and other challenges they have for the middle set there. The raft ride is fantastic, a really long ride. Be aware though, we took our son on that when he was 2 and he was scared. Clung to me like a monkey and I felt like a very bad mommy taking him on it. We went last year when our daughter was 2 and our son 5 and both loved it! Depends on the child. So BB wins for us. That said.....

TL has the nicer, more restful kiddie area. A little "stream" flows through it and there is sand everywhere for the kids to play in. You buy their kiddie lunch there and it comes in a pail with shovel. There is not a good "between" area though, only 2 slides for slightly older kids. The family raft ride is a joke, very dissapointing and short. Slides for adults are not as fast/long and not as many. If your kids are under 5 though, I would go for TL. Stake out your table in the kiddie area first thing, and just relax. There is so much for them to do there. It is to your left after you enter the park. The main surf pool is alot of fun. The adults can take turns going through the shark reef (if it is open, call on this). Park doesn't open until 10am, so you will be able to sleep in alittle. Play until 2pm or so and take the kids back to hotel room for nap. Happy planning :)

I would definitely go with BB. Their kiddie section was so much more than TL. DD (2.5) and I were at both parks in June and she loved BB while she was pretty unimpressed with the kiddie area at TL. BB has mini-slides that are great for little ones, as well as a mini-wave pool for them. At TL, we stuck to the lazy river (she loved that a both parks) and the edge of the adult wave pool.

Have a great time!

Thanks eveyone who posted their opinion.
It seems like its still a toss up.50-50 on the gallop plole.
I think I need a recount,LOL.:p
I dont think I'll be able to decide until we're actually there.

Isn't it AWESOME the dilemas a trip to WDW can cause.
This is why we keep going back,so much to do in such little time.

LOVE,PEACE, & MICKEY MOUSE!

Don't worry, I'm still undecided too. I've been debating for months. I've decided to park ourselves at the bus stop and whichever bus comes first, that will be our park.

I have a 4.5 yo.

Hey Kimberle, thats probably the best idea I've heard yet. I just noticed that your going tommorow.HOW EXCITING!:D We have 14 days to go.:p You'll have to let me know whoch one you went to.Thanks.

Been to both several times and Blizzard Beach is the way to go.

TL's kiddie area was originally very small, just a few thoughts next to a path. After they built BB they went back in and added to the TL, but it is still in the middle of paths etc. There simply was not room for all they put in. The last visit we went it was chaotic in there and parents were chasing little ones all over. The famous wave pool is very powerful and not suitable for young ones. Save this park when they are old enough to do the slides, snorkeling etc. I love the tropical decor but it is geared for the older group.

BB was a well thought out area!! It's cartoon like theme of melted snow is so much fun for the kids. Only two ways in and out of the large roomy kiddie area. Lots of chaises and chairs. Sand areas. Slides, squirting water, lots of supervision. An adult could actually relax and enjoy their time there. Just over the bridge from food, wave pool (much gentler), lazy river etc.

There is no question in my mind that is the park for anyone with young children. The under 12 set have a great area too.

Get on the Blizzard Beach bus !!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hey HopperFan thanks for your opinion.
I think its definitely going to be BB. It looks much closer to ASMO, plus the slides look as if there longer to. I was there years ago when it first opened but we had no kiddies then. We actualy if we have time we'll probably end up doing both.
