Typhoon Lagoon the Saturday after Thanksgiving..

I have heard that the water parks are busiest on the weekends, but since this is so late in the season, I was thinking that this might be a good thing to do that Saturday. Has anyone ever done this and, if so, what is the verdict?

I've never toured during this time frame. I'll just bump this back to page one for you so that some of our Disney veterans can offer advice on this topic.

Although I've never done Typhoon Lagoon (it's usually closed for rehab during the week following Thanksgiving), I usually do Blizzard Beach. It gets fairly crowded during the weekend following Thanksgiving, but I don't think it's wildly crowded. I've never had them shut down the park gate, as I've seen happen at other times of the year.

Thanks so much! Do you usually stay the whole day at the water park? And can you get in all the slides, etc? (I realize that this is at Blizzard Beach and not Typhoon, but same principle should apply.)

we did BB 2 years ago at that time and it was very managable ...also comming from up north it was a great fealing floating around in the pool on thanksgiving weekend.

we got ther when it opened stayed till about 2....didn't need the whole day

I would agree that you probably don't need the full day. That's not to say you can't spend the whole day should you opt to, but I find that after about four hours, I'm a little burnt out (although I could spend a whole lot of time drifting around on the lazy river!).

I think in the past I've generally gone to a water park for half a day, and then either gone to a park for the second half or wandered downtown disney, maybe stop at DisneyQuest. All depends on what I'm in the mood for.
