Is it true that TL is less crowded in the late afternoon? If so, will it still hold true for the week before Easter, April 5-9?
What do you do if you can't find a lounge chair? Do people sit on the beach on their towels instead?
I really appreciate any helpful information or guidance about going to TL, especially in early April.
Thank you!

Not too sure about April, but Typhoon Lagoon is our favourite. We have always gone early morning and stayed until just after lunch, By this time the park is busy and as we leave there appears to be more people entering than leaving.
You should always manage to find a lounger as I believe they restrict the number of visitors. It's just that at busy times it may take awhile to find enough for all of your party in the same area.
Just our experience of course and I hope this helps.

For the first time going to TL (we've been umpteen times!), we went in the afternoon at about 3:00 last year. We usually go in the morning and stay until about 12-1 and then leave because of the crowds. We found that there weren't as many people as we thought there would be, but this could be because there are usually afternoon thunderstorms in the summer. We were lucky because there was no storm that day, so we got to do lots of swimming and rides. We love TL because of the wave pool, lazy river ride, and the shark lagoon swim. If there are lots of people on the slide rides, we just go do those and still have lots of fun. In fact, my DS loves the wave pool the most and wants to stay there most of the time we are at the park. :earsgirl:

noopy: i still hold to the theory that the water parks are less busy in the late afternoon(as opposed to 11am-2pm timeframe)...we were at WDW last year during the week leading up to easter and the water parks were closing for capacity by about noon most days and not even re-opening until after 2-3pm...I will admit that the late afternoon plan of attack for the water parks seems to work better during the summer when the parks are open later...during easter week, the parks have shorter hours (I believe it like 10am-6pm) and the parks didn't clear out nearly as much the last couple of hours like they do in the summer time, but, it was still much more manageable than it was around noon....when the water parks are open to 7-7:30, it really clears out between 4-5pm as people start getting ready for dinner plans and whatnot and you can really get alot done as the place starts to thin out, especially those last couple of hours...it seemed like when the park closed at 6pm, people were more willing to stick it out until closing; therefore it didn't really clear out as much as we were used to before....if you go in the morning and arrive late, it can be fairly difficult to find a choice loung spot, but, you can find one....late afternoons arrivals we've never had a problem finding a good spot(kinda depends on the size of your group)....also, I can't really recall anyone laying on a towel on the beach....I do know that the cm's will not allow you to lay at the water's edge(or at least for long); they will clear you back....also, remember, when you get close to the water, it's not really "beach" anymore; its concrete...hope i've been able to help some...
