Hi there,

Does anyone have a preference for either of the water parks and if so what are the pros and cons of each. I dont swim well so there is no tempting me to either but DH and DD love the water. If only 1 spare day which would you choose?

Thanks again for your help (can you tell it is getting close - i am having a mad planning panic  )

Can I also add to the question.

Wet N Wild?

Worth doing all 3 parks or is that too much?

Personally, I would always choose TL - it's brill!!

Typhoon Lagoon for us :) We love this park. We find Blizzard Beach very hot because of all of the white around. Can't comment on Wet and Wild as we have never been.

Hi

I loved both, though if I had one day left and could only go to one then it would be TL as I love Slusher and Gusher! Fab ride!

Ditto.

Blizzard Beach is very cute (EXCELLENT theming etc.) and worth a visit some time, but if it had to be only one... it would be Typhoon Lagoon :thumbsup2

Although we like both, I too would go for Typhoon Lagoon.

I would definitely do BB as well though, especially if like us you have a Magic Your Way type Disney ticket that also gives you a number of days at the Water Parks.

I would only consider W&W if it was part of a 'flex ticket' that included Universal/Sea World, wouldn't personally pay just to go there.

A couple of years at least since we have been, but to be blunt although it was 'ok' , no comparison with TL&BB.

BB has great theming and a lot of awesome slides. TL probably has a little edge because of that awesome wave pool and the new Slush and Gusher, though. It's a lot of fun! I'm doing both again this August.

If I could do only one it'd be Tl but I've never done BB so I'll do a half day there this year and a full day at TL

I also find BB too hot and concretey(is there such a word??) TL is great with a lovely tropical theme and the wave pool is good - if you can keep on your feet!!!!

We LOVE Typhoon Lagoon the whole beachy style of the place is awesome and relaxing so we prefer it to Blizzard.
Having said that we visit both every year as Blizzard is fun but I agree with the other posters that the floor is too hot there! :sunny:
We also visit Wet n Wild each year because we have the Universal Flexi Ticket, we tend to go in the morning for half the day and I enjoy it although it is nothing compared to the Disney water parks!

Another vote for TL here, that wave pool!!!!, well Im just like an excited little girl all over again when I hear that boom of the big wave coming :lmao:

If I had not been to either and only had 1 day it would have to be TL for the wave pool experience but the family raft ride is better at BB.
Wet n Wild is also very good but I would do TL out of the 3.
TL is looking a popular choice. :thumbsup2

Wet n' Wild - I would not go back. Concrete jungle, over crowded and no shade.

BB - Great place, great rides more concrete than TL.

TL - Great place, lots of sand, love the wave pool (Lazy River is smaller than BB) and I love the swimming with the sharks.

Enough said.

If you are planning on going to TL, dont wear a bikini, i have lost mine on many occassions in the wave pool! :rotfl2:

TL is great, i am not a dare devil, i like to relax in the creek and let everyone else enjoy themselves on the slides. I like BB but it is not my favourite water park but if you get chance it is worth a visit. Not sure when you are going but BB is closed for refurbishment from October 28th.

Another vote for TL :goodvibes It has a good mix of fun/safe rides like lazy river, the unusual like Shark Reef, the exciting like Slush gusher and lots of shade and interesting paths to explore. It can even be fun for non-swimmers!

We love BB and dont go to TL anymore. In BB we love the theme, the lazy river (much better than TL's), and all the raft rides (the family raft ride is great). Also i didn't like the wave pool in TL, the waves were to big. I'm not a strong swimmer and getting thrown about under the water frightened me.

I used to prefer BB but after last year got a bit sick of going under freezing cold waterfalls. Is all of TL's water warm?

Go and enjoy the lazy river

My family would spent the whole holiday at the water parks if I let them

Both Disney water parks are very good, but for me Typhoon Lagoon is easily the better of the two. The wave machine is great and you can spend hours in there. Blizzard beach is worth a visit also. Wet N Wild is not in the same league as the Disney parks.

It was strange last time we visited, at the time of the New Orleans Disaster. I was in the wave machine waiting for the huge wave to start, when I realised the irony of what others and myself were doing. We were waiting and some were even shouting "wave" "wave" whilst thousands had drowned because of one, it just seemed a strange time to be playing in the surf.....
