Typhoon Lagoon life vest question

We are going to TL with our DS 8 and DS 15 mo. Do they require a flotation device for the 15 mo old? We know how rough the wave pool is, so we're not even going to do in with little DS- can he go on the family raft ride? If so do they require a life jacket? Does TL rent out life jackets? Been there twice but other DS was older- thanks for your help everyone!!

When we were in your position MANY years ago, they gave us a life jacket to use free of charge. They actually said we could not use our own (at the hotel too).

I know the books say they still do loan you one for free, but I do not know their current policy on using your own, as it seems as though I have seen people using their own.

Life Jackets are provided at no fee, but you must leave a form of personal identification such as room key, car keys, park hopper or credit card as security. Guests may NOT bring their own flotation devices.
