Do many people go to Typhoon Lagoon in December?

Is it warm enough to spend the day there in the water, in the wave pool etc?

I bought the Water Park pass for Decemeber and now I am wandering if that was a mistake.

We are going to WDW for Christmas this year. It will be our first winter season trip to WDW. I wondered the same thing.

I have talked to several people who have been in December. I just got of the Disney Magic and met a family from Central Florida on the ship. Everyone seems to agree that December's weather is like gambling. They tell me that one day will be too cold for the water parks and the next will be just fine. The water itself is heated. What I have been told is that if we want to do the water parks we have to be flexible. If we wake up today and it is nice and warm, head to the water parks regardless of what we had planned. That's what we are going to do.

December 2004, we went to TL early in the month. I have it tentatively scheduled for this year's trip, but do not have my heart set on going. The weather can be quite a crap-shoot.

We went last Dec.7th and we had a great time! There were 50 people there according to the lifeguards--we went on everything without a wait. I don't remember what the temp. was, but we are from Minnesota, so we thought itwas great! :goodvibes

If you come from a cold weather in Dec. climate chances are you will find TL wonderful. If you are from FL you will say it is too cold to go swimming.

But there can be a wide swing in temps. in Dec. so it is hard to say if you would enjoy it.

The shark swim will be cool in December since that area is not heated. Otherwise the rest of the park should be fine. It tends to be warmer and we still wind up wearing shorts most of the month due to higher temperatures.

We're also going in December and I was wondering the same thing. I am also planning on para-sailing so I hope it's not to cold!!

We have the PAP, so go to the water parks alot...year round. The water is heated, however, there have been sometimes we went where it didn't feel very heated, and other times where is felt like a bath tub. When I asked about water temps in winter at the park, I was told the water is typically heated to at least 74 degrees.
