I am planning my trip for next June. Will be here b4 I know it. I want to go to a Disney water park. I hear the best reviews for TL which looks really nice. But am I missing out if I don't go to BB? I love water rides but not sure what most think of BB. What is the best time of day to visit these parks 1, to avoid crowds 2, avoid worst of the scolding heat? How long on average do people stay in a water park? I have been to wet n wild which was ok but bit tacky and crowded.
Also what happened to DW 3rd water park?
Thanks

River Country has been closed for several years.

Best time to visit is either when the parks opn first thing in the morning before the lines for the slides get too long, or right after a summer storm has cleared the parks out. Only problem with choice #2 is that it might not rain that day!

As for which one is better, it's a matter of personal choice. Both TL and BB have their supporters on the DIS boards!

No matter what park you go to go early. I don't know how busy it is in June, but I have heard of people going in the afternoon not getting in because it was so crowded.

TL has less shelters for shade. They close the attractions with thunderstorms or if there is "electrical activity in the area", which occurs a lot in the summer months. My kids like TL for the wave pool. They are boys 11,13,14. The pool at BB is more like a lake with continual small waves

I think you will have fun which ever one you pick.

Depends on how energetic you feel!! BB has the better thrill slides but that hill is high & a lot of steps!!We like Tl for the wave pool & the shark reef & it seems more of a laid back day.I would also say that BB feels the busier of the 2.Have to agree with you about WW,in dire need of some TLC.

I think Blizzard Beach has more thrilling slides and I think the theming is awesome (I actually feel colder in BB...maybe its the fake snow??). But I also like the atmosphere in Typhoon Lagoon. I had a great time at both parks! :sunny: Sorry i just cant pick one. I think you'll be happy with either park. They each have their perks. As far as crowds go...BB felt way more crowded.

Typhoon Lagoon we spent the day there it was great! lots of stuff to do.
Blizzard Beach hated it all sun was done in 1:30 mins to many steps!

It would depend on what you like... if you like thrilling slides, then BB would be the one to go... except that TL now has Crush 'n Gusher and it doesn't get any more thrilling than that! I personally like the theming of TL better, but I love the slides at BB.

Best time to go is early, preferably upon park opening. We usually leave around 2-3 pm; we are totally exhausted by that time.

Living in New England, I don't need to see more melting snow too often. Yes many of the body slides and especially Teamboat Springs are superior rides at Blizzard Beach, but I like the lazy rivers, and Crush n Gusher. For me, the tropical plantings at TL are exactly what I need on vacation.

Thanks everyone for you input. I will try and do both as they both do sound amazing but will start with TL. I will have to do research on what I want to do in the parks so when I am there I am not standing about like a headless chicken.
