Type of sheets at CBR?

Does CBR have fitted or flat sheets for the bottom sheet? When we stayed at the Dolphin last year, it was all flat sheets on the bottom and always felt uncomfortable to me for the bottom sheet, becoming untucked easily and getting bunched up underneath me. I am thinking of taking two fitted sheets (full size right?) for our trip this year and using my own bottom sheet for more comfort on both beds...any thoughts?

I never thought I would be discussing this issue anywhere, but its the truth. I hate the tucked in sheets. They can become very messy once they slip out. All hotels seem to do that. I think every disney resort Ive stayed at does it that way, so you might want to bring your own just in case.

AAARRGGGHHHH!!!

We stayed at OKW last year and it drove me crazy. Every time you roll over, the sheets become "un-tucked"!!!

Wow, what a great idea to bring your own fitted sheet! Thanks for the tip!!!!

For the price I pay for a room I am not going to lug a fitted sheet for the beds and put it on, I'l live with the flat sheet tucked in. I am usually so tired I don't move around in bed, I sleep sound.:)

All the WDW resorts we have stayed at have had all flat sheets.

I usually retuck them before getting in bed. This seems to decrease the creases in them--that drives me nuts!

How funny!

The flat sheets tucked in as a bottom sheet drive us crazy too! That's what we've had every time we've stayed at a WDW resort. Come to think of it - that seems to be what most hotels use. Probably because that way they don't have to have a certain number of a particular kind of sheets on the housekeeping carts. Whatever they grab works.

I have a problem when fitted sheets slip around off of corners. I am fanatic about it. THe sheets at hotels are awful!!! My DH is a flipper. He tosses and turns, and in the end the sheets are a huge mess.

If you do decide to bring your own fitted sheet, it might be wise to bring a colored sheet. That way, if you "forget to take it off" every day before the maid comes, she will know it belongs to you and not to Disney. Personally, I would hate to remake the bed every day. Have you thought of getting some of those "clips" to hold the sheet on? Seems like those would take up less space in the suitcase and be relatively easy to put on and off. Just a thought.

I'm not gonna remake the bed everyday, I'm going to leave the sheets on there all week. I had planned to bring a bright floral or something so they would know it was mine. I don't think they will take it, they don't change the sheets every day do they? Maybe I'll leave a note or something.

Boy I hate those flat sheets TOO!! But I WILL NOT take my own - I don't want to even think about making the bed when I'm on vacation!

At CBR last month my two DS's 12 & 6 had to sleep in the same bed. My older DS is a total blanket hog! Every night he was pulling all of the covers off of his brother. I finally got extra blankets from housekeeping so my younger DS at least had his own blanket to sleep with.

I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel with a fitted sheet. They wash their sheets so often that the fitted sheets would soon shrink so much that they would never stay on the matress. The flat sheets actually stay on better since they are at least big enough.

I agree that if you do take your own fitted sheet, it should be a very bright color. You probably wouldn't need to leave any kind of note, since they'd be able to tell it wasn't their sheet.

What is the difference between a fitted sheet and a flat sheet?

Do the resorts have plastic forks and spoons or do they use sporks? I just hate the sporks. I need to know if I need to bring my own plastic forks and spoons.

What type of toilet paper do the DIS resorts supply? Are they soft or hard? Do I need to bring my own Charmin?

Thanks for you help.

Fitted sheets have the elastic around the ends of them so that they stay in place around the bottom of the mattress. Most resorts use flat sheets so they can use the same sheets for top or bottom and don't have to worry about having to stock and keep track of two different kinds of sheets. The flat sheets don't grip onto the bottom of the mattress so they shift around a LOT more.

THey have plastic spoons, forks and knives. And the TP is the hard scratchy stuff. Better bring your Charmin.

I also hate the flat sheets. If you notice, they put all the sheets and blankets on at the same time then tuck it in all together. When you pull the top covers back, take the time to tuck in the bottom. Tuck one side then go to the other and pull gently and tuck. It will stay better.

Unfortunately you have to do this each day because they will again tuck all the covers bunched together when the bed gets made the next day.

Chances are if they used the fitted sheets they would be too small and pop off the corners like they do in the hospitals.

This is so funny, I feel the same way! LOL....So, I will confess. I take those little elastic straps withthe snaps on them and put them on the corners so the sheets don't come out! Got'em at Walmart....just left a note for Mousekeeper not to take them. I think they only change the sheets every three days or so?

Take some big safety pins with you. You can pin the bottom flat sheet to the piping trim on the mattress or box spring.
I do this at home when one of my bottom, fitted sheets is a little too big. Just a couple of pins here and there should do the trick.
