Brook, I am so excited for your trip. I can't believe you guys leave in 4 days. Can I ask you to pick up something for me? I really want a couple of boxes of the coconut mickey heads. I looked everywhere for them and couldn't find them. I didn't make it to Goofy's so I didn't check there but I looked on Main St (the Emporium and the Confectionery store), the Poly, Grand Floridian, WoD, and Pop and couldn't find them. I only ever found the 2 pack ($1.50 or 1 snack credit). I loved them I did come home with some but would love 2 boxes.

Downtown Disney has so many great stores! I bet Henry will have fun picking out all his souvenirs. I'm looking forward to getting a box full Mr. Potato Head stuff, as soon as the boys get old enough not to eat them.

Okay, how did I NOT know you had a ticker?!?! How could I not have seen that! I didn't realize you were going back in November - or I just forgot?.

When I booked the room, I couldn't resist a new ticker but in reality, the trip may or may not actually happen. BUT I have been telling Greg I want to turn 40 with the MK and when I got a nice PIN code, I decided to lock in the rate while I could. The boys and I are talking a lot about when...er...IF we go. Just gotta convince Daddy that it's OK for us to take time off from school

That is such a cute idea!!! I might have to adopt that one.... our current tree is smaller than Henry is, so it would be a good excuse to buy ornaments.

Santa puts an ornament in our stockings each year and the boys get excited to see what the choice will be! It's a tradition passed down from my family and they love to see my ornaments when we decorate the tree and look for the year on each to figure out how old I was when I got them

I decided to add the Deluxe Dining Plan to this day

That is awesome that you can do this with DVC!! I'd be tempted sometime to do the super deluxe (what is it called ) for just 1 or 2 nights to take advantage of all the recreation and tour choices (not to mention kids clubs!)

Now for comments in DHS I always go to Little mermaid love it! American Idol is good but I think it's something that unless you're really into the show you only need to do it once. We ate in Sci Fi there which was pretty cool but bring a jumper lol was freezing inside!

Do character trails asap in Animal Kingdom.. I went to Camp Minnie Mickey at about 10 ish and it took til at least 12 to get the five main characters out. Lines were really long! There are other characters around there with shorter lines though.

Your food pics from Epcot look yummy! In Epcot in September I went in at about 6 one evening and managed to meet Winnie the Pooh and Tigger in England and then The fab 5 in the space of an hour so maybe if you leave the meet and greet til later in the day there will be less people there!

I love that you can add different DP's on different days now. We are going to do that in May. It makes so much sense.

That's a very cute idea about letting them pick a Vinylmation, I am sure they will enjoy that! D-Street in DTD (I think it's on the West Side) is a store that is practically dedicated to Vinylmations, I've seen pics, it's incredible! I bet many of the other stores have them too since they are so popular.

LOL - I suppose giving it to the one request of your DH would be a good move. That's what I try to do with Joe too since he lets me plan most of it all with just minor input. I'd go for T-Rex in your situation since it's at least slightly different!



Your townhouse will be adorable all decked out in Mickey!! I've wanted a Mickey teapot for a while, but I keep resisting since the one I have is just fine. Someday it will be mine though! Wouldn't that look so cute sitting on a stove?

Thank you for the info on Pooh/Mickey Mart! I remember reading something like that now that I re-read it. I look forward to checking out the new Mickey Mart, I won't really be able to compare it to the old one though since I only ever went in once.

Oooh, we haven't looked into the Design-A-Tee shop! We might have to peek in and check it all out. I bet Joe would like that if they have anything Tron that can be put on a shirt too.



I haven't ridden Splash since 2006. Can you believe it?! I just despise getting wet, so I'm finally going to ride with the poncho!

I love DHS too, it's such a different feel. The architecture is beautiful and all those palm trees....



I saw a few pics of the temporary Lego store and it still looked great, but I didn't see anything interactive, like the racing ramps, in it. I hope they moved those with the store -and I really look forward to the new one!

We went in Team Mickey for about 8 seconds last trip. It's attached to Tren-D which I popped into to check it out and we exited through Team Mickey. Maybe we'll check it out this time, it would be kinda neat to have Mickey themed NY sports team shirt or something....

wow i agree i dislike the wettness but i love splash to much to not ride it. i might try the poncho methed. I love TOT it is a ride i will never forget. i like it when people freak out on the way up!! lol but i must admitt i tend to have the death grip on the handles.

I'm sure there's quite a few of us who are trying to figure out how to stuff ourselves into your suitcases, especially with the recent snowstorms!

I've never been at Chef Mickey's or Teppan Edo so can't give you any advice! BUT they are both on our list for our September trip since I've heard such great things about them here on DIS & from other people as well!!! I was just researching restaurants for our trip & was looking at the menus...YUM!!!

The Mardi Gras parade sounds really neat! I was wondering if they did anything for that over at PO.

Is Henry getting excited for the trip??? I'm sure you all are! I know once I get the suitcases out, it seems soooo real!

Have fun finishing up your last minute items...4 days will fly by! I'm so excited for your trip & reading your updates!!!

Brooke... what time is the Disney Playhouse Dance Party? We are doing AK that day but only until Nap time so maybe we can stop at DHS for the dance party .

This is my exact plan for this day too!! We are doing breakfast at Tusker House, AK till naptime, then over to the dance party at night!! If you see a frazzled blond walking around with a baby in a carrier, a high strung toddler, fast walking hubby and bewildered grandparents in tow, that will be me!

Oh and top of my to do list right now is a pedi!!! As much as I would like to cheap out and do one at home, no way, these dogs are barking and need professional treatment!!

Chef Mickey's for breakfast is so nice but I'm a mega serious breakfast pizza addict of epic proportions. Though oddly the Pop Century one is my favourite followed closely by 1900 park fare.
Is Henry getting excited for Cars 2? I have two little cousins (5 and 8) and they are soo addicted to cars, they are starting a countdown for it! I saw Mater well Larry the Cable guy on a morning talk show and they talked about it and it sounds awesome! I needs me some Lightning McQueen and Mater oh and Sally *giggles*

Can't wait to hear more pre planning!
