Once again, heres the cast of characters: me (40 something), DH (also 40 something) and our two DDs "Princess" (16) and "Little Legs" (11).
As we watched last nights fireworks from our balcony, we decided to go to MK tomorrow, and see what an E-night was all about. We ususally visit WDW in March, when Disney doesnt offer e-night. They did offer it when we were down in June two years ago, but the day they offered it didnt work for us but after reading so many reports here on the boards about how cool it was to ride the rides with no lines, we decided to give it a try! Made breakfast and did a load of laundry, so we werent too quick to get out of our room, but were taking it easy this trip!
We have an acquaintance whose wife works at WDW. They told us to let them know when we were coming down, so we called them when we arrived, and they told us they would try to plan for Little Legs to meet Cinderella after the show in front of the castle. They callled us as we were walking into MK, to tell us it was set for tomorrow, (we were kinda hoping it would be today, but, hey, well take tomorrow!) so another secret for Little Legs! Got our tickets for e-night, and was surprised when the CM told us they only sell 5000 tickets, and never sell out! We decided to hit the rides we enjoy that we wouldnt be able to ride tonight, so we rode PoC, Carpets of Aladdin, Tiki Room, got a Dole Float, finally took the Jungle Cruise. Seven trips, and this was the first time we rode this! Weve found a second attraction for DH to retire and work at, he had a deep voice, so he wants to work at HM, well, after listening to the JC jokes, he felt right at home, and decided that would work too!. Walked over to Tomorrowland, rode TTA, ate lunch at Cosmic Rays, then rode the Indy cars, and the tea cups, then headed back to the resort to relax. The rains came as we rode on the bus. DH picked up the computer and dialed into work to see what was going on, (they called when we got off PoC, he was NOT happy with them!) so I turned on the t.v., and learned about Hurricane Charley, and how it would hit on Friday. Oh man, well miss it by one day!
The rain stopped, and we wanted to see the model of the grand villa (since the DVC preview center is here at SSR now), so we walked over to the models. The three BR is SO cool! Princess was figuring out who would sleep in which room if we come down with SIL and her son's family (which we're talking about doing). Little Legs was confused, this looked kinda like our room, what were we doing here?
We walked back to our room, grabbed our stuff and headed back to MK. Picked up our wrist bands, rode the carrosel, ate supper, staked a spot for Spectromagic (have to watch that parade every time we go down, we love it!). Unfortunately, we were next to people who stood for the entire parade, but we got to see it as it passed in fron t of us. Walked oer to Main Street, to stake out a spot for Wishes. It is such a great show! Then it was time for e-night! Headed (with what felt like half of those 5000 people) to BTMRR, which we were informed was having technical difficulties, so we headed to Splash Mountain. It was like having a FP getting on the ride! Weve never gone on it at night (cool experience!) The ride experiences technical difficulties half way through it, we were down for maybe five minutes, then everything was cool! BTMRR was still down, so we went to HM. When we got off the ride, we thought maybe we heard Big Thunder running, but its hard to walk back and forth with Little Legs, so we decided to head to Mickeys Philharmagic, which we walked on to. Passed on Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh,(not high on our must ride list, heck, not ON our must ride list!) went right to Space Mountain and Buzz. Princess doesnt like Space Mountain, but she rode it because she didnt want to be left alone, so we only rode it once. Thought about riding Buzz again, but we were getting tired. It was about 12:30, so we headed home. Tomorrow is check out, so were gonna sleep in.
