Two Transportation Questions (LAX to DLR)

I have narrowed our transportation options to two: Karmel and Lansky. I noted on the Karmel site that there is a place to add a gratuity. The Lansky site says a gratuity is not needed. Is that really true? Or, do most people also tip the Lansky driver for good service. It sounds like the Lansky drivers meet you at bag claim and help you with your luggage. This would be helpful since I am traveling with my elderly Mom and two kids. Does Karmel also help with luggage?

Also, we are doing a split stay moving from the Paradise Pier hotel to the Grand Californian during our trip. Can I still book a round trip, or should I do two one way bookings? I am leaning toward Lansky since the 20 minute grocery store stop for water and snacks would be helpful. All advice comparing the two options would be appreciated. THANKS in advance.

Karmel Shuttle are also a decent firm to consider too, their drivers certainly gave my wife and myself excellent service when we visited Anaheim in October 2016. Have never used Lansky personally but have also heard good reports about them.

Lansky is great, and you can do a round trip. Just make sure they know you'll be picked up at a different location for the return. They worked with us quickly and easily when we had to change airports two hours before our flight and handled it really well. Can't recommend them enough.

I was just going to vote for Lansky. We used them in July, and they were great.

Lansky is great. No complaints at all!

I've also used Uber and it was just as fast. (I had no checked luggage, and know LAX well enough to figure out pick up location.)

Uber was cheaper. And we didn't not wait long for one leaving and going to LAX (we stayed at GC).

If you want cheapest route without mass transit (I hate wasting time on vacation on a shuttle with stops) than Uber is a good choice. But if you need booster seats and prefer premium service, go with Lansky.
