Two sets of Magic Bands?

Hi everyone,

Silly question alert! We are coming down to AKV on Thursday and I had ordered Magic Bands as AP holders. Then I received an email stating that we'll have a set of Magic Bands at AKV waiting for us. I thought I had linked our APs to this visit but I guess not! I didn't have two sets of MBs for our visit in January.

So when I arrive on Thursday night, should I just bring the MBs and have the CM add our room information?

TIA!
Michele

Access your MDE account, link your AP's, check out your MB status and room reservation.

Are your APs on your MyDisneyExperience account? Yes they are because you ordered AP bands.

Is your reservation on your MDE? Yes it is because you are getting new MBs.

Everything is already linked.

You got the AP bands because you ordered them.

You're getting the bands for the stay because they send bands for EVERY stay (every confirmation number).

I assume you didn't get two for January because January was your first trip with the APs. AP bands are only available to order AFTER your first visit with the APs. So you just got the resort confirmation bands.

There's no room info to add. They are all accessing your MDE account. AP bands, room bands will all access APs, FP+s, room.

You'll have the grey, uncustomized, bands waiting at AKV because you didn't notice on MDE that you had another set of bands to customize. since you didn't verify the address, they aren't being sent, but they will be at AKV. You can just say no thank you and leave the box there, or you can take it away and have a set of grey bands.

I myself have 9 MBs from all our various stays (and one of them is because I couldn't find my MB at checkin and thought I'd left it at home, so I got a grey one). They all work to access tickets, FP+s, and rooms.

There's nothing for you to do, and nothing got messed up. All is, actually, normal.

The band is really nothing more than a gateway to your info stored on the Disney Database, that is where all your trip info is stored, not the band. Keep them all and use the seconds set as a backup, all are already linked and the old are just as good as the new...smjj

This and only this.

Thanks everyone!! This will be our third (!) trip since Thanksgiving which is when we activated the APs. Glad it's not a big deal. We don't get in until about 6pm and I was worried it would hold us up at check-in. I guess the bonus is now I have AP and DVC sliders (from Nov & Jan) for my Magic Bands.
