We are planning our semi-annual big family vacation at BLT. Our family has grown and we are looking at booking a dedicated two bedroom and a studio. This is my first time booking two rooms and I would appreciate any advice from the experts out there.

1. When booking does Member Services link the two reservations so that we can get both rooms on the same floor.

2. When I assign someone to the studio do I still control the reservation or does the person who I put in that room control the reservation.

3. Do I need to do anything different when booking dining or FP+ since there are two rooms

Thanks in advance for help with these questions and any other advice.

We've booked two rooms twice before. They do link the reservation if you want them to. We didn't do that because we weren't paying for everything for the other room. They linked their own credit cards and did their own online check in, but I could still see everything about the room (minus cc info) on my account. Your magic bands and FP and really based on having park tickets and reservations. You can either control the whole thing, or split it up. It depends again on if you are controlling everything about the trip or if there are some things people in the other room will want to do without you.

I also always call when we travel like that, mostly because I feel like things are changing every few months right now!

Have fun! We are staying there for the first time in January and can't wait!

You cannot "link" the reservation of the two rooms in the sense of getting any kind of guarantee that they will be next or close to each other on the same floor. You can put in a traveling with or staying with request on each reservation and ask that they be near each other on same floor but it is not a guaranteed request.

You retain control over any reservation you make with your points even if done in the name of other guests.

Since it is a family group, you likely want to have all guests in your one MDE account and make sure you add both reservations to the account, add the names of all quests to your family and friends list, and have all park tickets listed in the acxcount assigned to each guest as applicable. You may also want to set it up in your account to allow access to your MDE online account by one or more others to akllow them to make separate FP+ or reservation reservations if there are going to be any differences among the group.

One time we did it we got rooms right next door. The other time wouldn't have worked since one room was Savanna View and one wasn't, but they were right down the hall
