I think that in a place like WDW where people park cars a fairly far walk from where they are spending their time, the only way you are going to get them to move them off the chargers timely is by $$ penalty. Leave it plugged in for more than 1 hour after the stop notice, and a penalty fee should start kicking in @ 3X the cost of actual charging. Some people would just happily pay it, of course, but overall I think it would help.

I would think that at day-trip destinations, and also golf courses and such, valet charging would be a popular option, but I haven't heard that discussed much.

I believe that the warranties for EV batteries is 8 years or 100,000 miles on most vehicles. What I don't know is the actual capacity guaranteed at EOL at the end of the warranty. I think it hovers around 70-75%. I presume they will cite a rated capacity, but rated vs. actual are completely different. And the rate of capacity degradation doesn't have to be linear. I have read many users of EV's exceeding the 100K threshold. I have also read that range drop-off can be considerable after 100K as well as charge rate throughput. Maybe these are anomalies or OEM specific....I don't know.

I do know that our BMS could easily manipulate the software to allow a battery to meet a cycle life warranty while sacrificing Ah throughput (range/use). It was a way to meet the warranty and still control the EOL of the battery pack.
