Hey guys~I have heard conflicting info on these two matters and would like input please ~

I read something in a thread the other day and now I can't find it..but anyway. It was talking about how IF free dining is offered for this Aug/Sept, you can't do like in years past and book just the lst day and get the free dining the whole trip.
For example: one year free dining dates ended Sept 30th. We booked Sept 30 through Oct 6th and got the free dining the whole trip. Is this no longer allowed..or still undermined??

I have a ressie at POFQ for Sept 20-27th...hoping for free dining code to come out for these dates at this resort!

Second question:

If I call to make my ADR's for my trip on the above dates..can't I call on the 180th day from the FIRST day of my trip, which is March 24th, and make my ADR's for my WHOLE trip? Or do I have to call every morning??

Hope my questions are clear and thanks in advance! :)

1. My understanding is that this year things have changed as far as dates go. With all promos (free dining, AP discount codes, general public codes, VISA codes, etc) all of your dates must fall within the range listed for the promo. I read that the dates for free dining had intentionally been moved up this year, so no one could use it for the Food and Wine Festival.

2. All ADRs can be booked 180 days from the date of your check in for the length of your entire stay (180+10=you can make ADRs at 180 days out for up to 10 days).

Thank you so much for your response..that answers my questions perfectly!

I'll be hoping my dates fall within the free dining dates, so I won't have to change!
Thanks again ~ :goodvibes

when we made our bounceback ressies we were able to book the day before FD ends and were assured we'd have it for the entire vacation...

My neighbors booked the Free Dining bounceback for September 27 - October 5, 2008. I have also seen a number of other people here on the Dis who have booked the bounceback into October dates.

I have a free dining Q

How do you find out about it? Is it like the code emails/postcards or whatever and only random people get it? Or is it released to everyone? If you already have a trip booked and then find out free dining is that time do you then call and have to rebook or do you automatically get it?

Since 2005, Disney has been offereing Free Dining during the last part of August until the end of September, give or take a few days. It has already been offered to UK visitors for this September and to those of us who were there at WDW during Free Dining this past September for the dates of August 30 - September 27 2008. The free dining for this year should be announced during the first week of April. The first couple of days it will only be open to Disney Visa holders and then will open up to the general public. The second that the code comes out I am sure it will be here on the Dis.

As for booking now, there really is no guarantee you won't have to rebook. Each resort will have only so many free dining rooms allotted for the promo. If you are already booked you will have to call and get the free dining code added to your reservation they will NOT add it automatically and once again there is no guarantee you won't have to rebook.

With the Future Stay (bounceback) offer, Guests were able get the promotion for their (our) entire stay as long as check-in is on or before September 27. I don't know if that was true of the UK offer, which runs for a longer period; and so don't have an absolute answer for you.

The 180+10 only applies to those staying in a WDW resort (just to clarify for those reading this thread and are not staying in a WDW resort).
