Yeah I would agree about the school holiday but I don't think my mother would.Congrats on booking your flights!
I think that even if you are delayed a little (although I hope you're not), you should get to Disney at a decent time. And the late departure on the 11th should definitely make for a more relaxed departure day! Although it's sad that you have to be back at school on the 12th ... I think "the day after Disney" should always be a school holiday.
(By the way - the time difference confused me so much! I was trying to figure out how the flight was 4 hours in one direction and 2 hours in the other direction ... it took me a few minutes to remember that Wisconsin and Florida are in different time zones).
Yep exactly what I was thinking. Last year marathon weekend the last two days were the warmest and days that you could actually swim. The rest of the week was 40-50 degrees.I like the late departure also. I hate leaving in the morning, because it always feels like a wasted day. You should have until about 3 PM for the ME, so you will have plenty of time for relaxing at the resort. If the weather is warm enough for swimming, you can spend your free time at the pool as well. They will let you check your carry ons with bell services, or even there are lockers at the pool you can use as well.
Thanks. I'm feeling good about the half so far I plan on using the rundisney Galloway training plan. Yes the treadmill is a friend during the winter if I can't go outdoors. I'd much prefer to run outside but that isn't always an option.Hello Ryan. I enjoyed reading about your trip in which you ran the 10k, and congrats on your 10k. How are you feeling about the half at this point? Do you have a plan for training yet? The jump from a 10k to a half isn't nearly as bad as you think, so don't worry to much about it. I would say going from 0 miles to 3.1 is much more difficult. Looks like you have a good handle on things for this upcoming trip so far. I am going to be running my first Disney event this January as well. I can imagine the winter a brutal for you, and will make training a challenge. I guess the TM becomes your friend? As far as race day weather goes, I hope it is 40 and not 60. The warmer temps. make it harder on the runners. Good luck on planning the remainder of your trip and good luck with training.
Thanks for following along! January can't come soon enough.I am so following your journey! Excited for you...
I know. My grandmas sister was in this weekend from up north and I didn't know when I would see her again before the trip so I asked what color she wanted and my sisters already knew what they wanted so I just did it all.Wow, that's early! Although I'm sure it's nice to take care of it now and not have to worry about it later.
Thanks for following along!Hi Ryan! Following along - your plans look great so far! I will also be at WDW race weekend for Dopey, looking forward to reading about your adventures!
And I will keep my fingers crossed for your flights. DH and I are originally from WI, too, and I went to university in FL, so I remember all too well flying in and out of WI winters. Good luck!
Yep but the time sure is flying. Seems like I was just starting high school a year ago.I remember senior year of high school ... you have my sympathy. That's definitely a busy time!
You've definitely got some time before you really have to worry about Disney plans (including over 2 months until FP+ day), so focus on school/football/etc now and worry about Disney when it gets closer!
