My husband and I are going to Disney with our daughter, her husband and baby. Can we all go in the fastpass line and use the child swap too? For instance, she and her husband could ride the ride and when they get off, my husband and I can ride right after them. Most everything we do will be things that the baby can ride but we do want to ride the 7 dwarves ride and maybe expedition everest too.

Yes you can use FP+ for both of you as long as the first people got on the ride have FP+ reservations for that time.

The baby swap is very easy to use. Go to the FP line and ask for a baby swap pass. One person sits with the baby and the rest of the group rides using stand by or FP. The baby swap is good for up to 3 people. So your group could go again minus 1 person to sit with the baby.

Thanks! Good info. Thanks for the link. I also learned from that link that if they give you a physical child swap pass, you can use it anytime that day. Good to know.

We went first weekend in April and the rider switch pass said good until 4/30 over 3 weeks until it expired. Sometimes we saved for next day.
Let me give you an example of how I booked the FPs. It was me (gma) my daughter, her husband and my 1 yr old granddaughter.
I booked as follows
Space mountain me and daughter
BTMR me and SON IN LAW
Splash Mountain daughter and son in law...we got Rider switch for each...I also book speedway for them not me (someone had to take pictures) I say even if second couple chooses not to ride still get the pass for a different day in your trip to use it.

So you actually end up getting 4 fp out of it, only one of them is called a rider switch pass. Hmmm... Need to rethink our fp plan.

The baby will not be allowed in line if he does not meet the height requirement. You may want to read up on how rider switch works - a good explanation can be found here: http://wdwuntangled.com/fastpass-and-rider-switch/

FYI, new Rider Switch-specific link: http://wdwuntangled.com/rider-switch/

(since the old Fastpass stuff no longer applies)

Because they no longer have the kiosks at the attractions where they can print the Rider Switch passes as needed and now print them backstage (like they used to do), they print many in advance and date them into the future so they don't have to print them every day and potentially run out and have to run back for more. They are _technically_ meant to be used the same day, but there is nothing to stop it from being used on another day at this time.

I fear it could result in the return of the black market for them, though.
