Twister/Ghostbusters/ Hanna Barbara

The ride Twister is boring to me i guess because it's just a showing what it's like in a Tornado. But here in Texas we have Tornados so we really know what it's like. I thought that the old Ghostbusters show that they had there before Twister was COOL!!! It would have the Characters outside with the car, and their gear , and you could go up and look at their gear and get in the car. I would want the Ghostbusters show back then the Twister Ride right now. Or, I would really want anything besides Twister right now, so why don't they put the Ghostbusters show back, or the Hanna Barbara ride. The Hanna Barbara rid ei thought was much better then the Jimmy Neutron ride that it got replaced by, but i think it's because i like the Classics!!!

I agree with Hanna Barbara. Those characters are classic's, Jimmy Neutron isn't.. but then again he may be 20 years from now

I like Twister...I don't know...there's something about it that "speaks" to me...I also agree with bringing Hanna Barbera back...I was mad when they took it out. I grew up with the Flintstones, Yogi, Scooby Do, and the Jetsons. I don't fancy Jimmy Neutron and the other Nicktoons, except Spongebob Squarepants. As for the Ghostbusters, i don't know...I liked the movies, but I think they could've done a better job with the attraction/shows...of course, these are just my opinions.

There is a rumor going around that Twister may be replaced by something soon. It wont be ghostbusters, unless another movie finally happens. But H-B is making a come back...just not at Universal. Its rumored that it will be going to the Paramount Parks, which is funny, seeing that most of them have gone to Nicktoons. I think that Nicktoons change too much, so that they cant become classics. They dont try to give them a long life. When the show stops airing new episodes, they stop airing it altogether. You never see that with HB or even Looney Tunes, thats why everyone knows those characters to this day.

I like Twister although the pre-show is a bit too long.

I liked Hanna Barbera and Jimmy Neutron too, doubt they could ever have both rides as they are essentially the same just with different characters.

I still love twister, just because of what US does - ride the movies. the props, the setup to the whole movie making experience. unfortunately, if you're not on the lower level, you don't get the full effect. and bill paxton is soooo far over the top in the pre-show. but US has created a tornado right in front of you. very cool.

and Nick is still very hot right now. spongebob is huge. it's too bad Nick pulled out of US. my daughter got to be featured on segments of slime time live. it doesn't get much better of that. how long Jimmy can hold down that corner of the park with no Nick support remains to be seen. kids still rush to the Nick characters in the parks.

scooby and shaggy are still at US. the best place to catch them is by the entrance to fieval's play area.

My kids still say "Let's go save Boo-Boo!" as we enter Jimmy. I'm getting a little tired of the chicken dance. And I never did understand the Llama thing? I miss Fred, Barney, George, Astro, Jane, Judy, Rosie, Mr. Spacely, Huckleberry, Dick Dastardly, Mutley, Snagglepuss, Pixie, Dixie, Jinx, Top Cat, and the rest of Joe and Bill's fine cartooning! Revive the Classics!

I was bummed out when they took out HB. That was one of my favorite attractions in the park. I personally don't have any interest to see Jimmy Neutron.

I was fairly bored while riding HB. Not that Jimmy Neutron is a good ride, but I think its a bit more fun. Not sure of this was mentioned at all already, but the Parmount parks are adding HB to their motion simulator theaters this season.

Never saw Ghostbusters, but I LOVE Twisters. Its honestly in my top 3/4 attractions at USF.

Someone else mentioned Paxton's over the top performance in the Twister preshow. Thats one of the reasons I enjoy the attraction so much.

Me and my family think Twister is SO boring too. Maybe it's cuz we're from North Carolina and deal with Twisters out here on a few occassions... but still... I LOVE earthquake, and was very disappointed with Twister. The whole thing looks so fake and sad... I loved Ghostbusters though, it was lighthearted fun, wish they had something like that return.

Yes it is confirmed.....we rode HB at KD last year in VA. Honestly, I think UO made the right choice replacing it w/ JN.... JN was SO much better than HB

This thread is so old its from back when Paramount still owned a chain of theme parks (I guess it was really Viacom at that point but it still said Paramount on the sign). The parks are no longer showing the HB film and are back to only showing Sponge Bob 3D.

The first time I rode it I was 5 and I cried. :X
So I would love to re-ride it again.

Unfortunately I do not remember the Ghostbusters show.

I must say - I do get quite upset when the old rides disappear - I wasn't a great fan of Ghostbusters but I don't think twister is any better - I would replace it with King Kong - that was my favourite ride of all time !!!

yep.....the SpongeBob 3D was "eh"....even IT wasn't THAT great....AND, not to mention the last time we wanted to ride HB, they didn't even have it up and running....they just had SB side showing.... --oh well.....JN is WAY better anyway!
