My friend bought the series and was not fond of them. She said she just couldn't get into them. I still want to read them though! LOL You know what I always do when I want to read a book but don't want to buy it? I just go to the bookstore and read a couple pages. If I like it, I buy it. If not, then I move on. I might have to go take a look at our local bookstore that's closing. They might have some sales going on!

I have some good news!! I have finally taken back totaly control over my car's radio!!! In the morning I always listen to this local morning show (Kidd Kraddick). In the afternoons the boys get to listen to there Jonas Brothers CD or anytime we are not in the car when Kidd is not on. The has been the way it's been for like a year. Well yesterday I was listening to the Twilight cd when they got into the car. The oldest tried to change it, and I told him if he liked his hand attached to his body he wouldn't try that. (he knew I was kidding b/c we joke like that) Well today when they got into the car and it was on, they didn't want to change it. They like the cd and want to listen to it from now on!! I'm so happy I have my radio back!!!

There's a thread on the forums on TwilightMoms about these books. I think that some people do like them but I haven't tried them myself. Sometimes you can read the first few pages of the books on Amazon-I've done that many times before purchasing them. I did that with Twilight after people here recommended it! Needless to say, I knew after reading a few pages of that online that I would like it !

(and they are 7,6 and my 3 yo just loves music..anykind!)

Their favorite CD's include The Rogues (the Texas bagpipe and drum band), the Blue Man Group, Def Leppard, the Oh Brother Where Art Though soundtrack, a CD with movie main titles mainly John Williams, Rammstein (German heavy metal), Mortiis, Queen, Rick Springfield, Journey, and a kind of greatest hit of Luciano Pavarotti. I still have to sit down and figure out how to put the CD's on an Ipod.

I don't understand why the press is making such a big deal over the casting of Leah... she was in the book for 5 seconds... the only reason it even matters at all is because theoretically whoever they pick we'll be stuck with for the other two movies where leah has a larger role. Except Leah is so insignificant in this movie they could practically cast an extra and if they wouldn't make such a stink over it, who the heck would even notice.

There are just sooo many more important characters to focus on... Jane, Alec, all the Volturi for that matter... Even Emily has more of a story line in New Moon than Leah!

You are 100% correct about 21 jumpstreet AND Captain Jack...they couldn't have picked a better actor for either!!!

Well I have loved Mr. Depp since he was in A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET . It is very disturbing to see his death in that movie but boy was he a hottie . I think he is one of the few that gets a little better with age .
