I just want to add it to my evil shelf of Stephenie Meyer books I guard like Gollum. Does that mean I have a problem?
Nope, not if I don't!

Okay, I totally get the screenshot thing but I have no idea how to crop the window out and only have text. Anyone?![]()

I pasted the screen shots into Word. Then, I could double click on the image and crop it. Once I'd done a few, I knew what amount I needed to crop from each side and then I could do it really quickly.
I am jealous of those of you with partners who are willing to read the series. I wonder how I can get mine to read them, though I guess I should consider myself lucky that he saw the movie with me.
Sorry I have been MIA...fighting either food poisoning or some stomach bug. blah.

My husband is really surprising me! He's almost finished with Eclipse and he actually wants to TALK about the books with me!
He enjoyed NM and Eclipse better than Twilight (you know, all that romance garbage). On his way home from work tonight he starts telling me his theories on who is creating the Newborn Army with Victoria - is it Mary from TX? Peter? Yeah, he's over-thinking that one.
Next he goes into a long tirade on how if their circumstances and genetics were different Jacob and Emmett would probably be great friends.![]()
I just wanted him to read the books so he'd know what I was obsessing over. I didn't know I'd have a Twi-Guy on my hands!!
.
I really want to read The Host but am waiting for a paperback to come out. Anyone who read it ? Is it as good as Twilight or am I going to be dissapointed ?
Thanks!
Wow you all sure do have some interesting discussions while I'm gone! I'll be very interested to see how the handle the wolves as whole. Considering that they combined some of the high school kids into one character, no Ben, just Eric, and one of the girls combined with Jessica I think, I'm wondering how they'll handle this.

Regarding what some were talking about earlier re: New Moon and the struggle to get thru it...I just found this on Stephenie Meyer's site and it explains things perfectly for me. Thing is, I was the same way thru most of the books...couldn't put them down, couldn't find a good stopping point to fix dinner, do laundry and on one occasion, go to work!(I actually called in!) I knew during New Moon that I would be going back to read them at a more leisurely pace once I knew the outcome!! Here's what SM wrote:
When the advanced reading copies began to fall into the hands of my fans, I asked people read New Moon twice, promising that I would explain why later. It's later, and this is why: the first time through New Moon, I've found that readers are so anxious about the absence of Edward that they can't settle into the middle portion of the book. They skim and speed read and flip ahead until, at last, they find him again. However, at that point they've missed the main section of the novel almost completely. On a second reading, knowing that Edward will return to the story at the proper place and time, the reader can slow down and enjoy the wondrousness that is Jacob Black.
That's a yummy pic of him - EDIT: on second thought...he looks a little bit like SSB!!!!!!. I was looking at the shirt she is wearing under her jacket. Here's the thing.. along with her voice being deep... that shirt was so flouncy, wasn't it? I never believed Kristen or Bella would wear something "hippie chic" .... did you??New/Old Pics.

I know, right? (hahaha so Jessica) Anyhoo, I agree. I actually find that I really like Jacob - and this character development is why I continue to like him in the other books. I couldn't skip at all - so of course I finished in record time because I couldn't put it down until the reunion. Then all my newborns drove me up the wall with the questions and threats to skip. Argh. But I held out, and only one skipped to the end.
Yes!!! It bothers me to no end that she's so freakin' serious.

Oh, DBF will never touch it. He hates Twilight with a passion, though I have a feeling it's all jealousy towards Edward...![]()
He read a chapter of the book out-loud to me once and was laughing all the way through.
Read it, I absolutely loved it. It's not Twilight, but it definitely has that Stephenie feel to it.

Kellan is in 90210? I'll have to start watching it again. He is the half brother of the girl from Kansas and the girl from Beverly Hills? I went to look it up on imdb and I kept pulling up Cam's info.So yes, I have, whenever possible, tried to catch the new 90210. For one reason and one reason only. And today, my timing was perfect. I switched over during a commercial break just in time to see our favorite big brother with his shirt off. Oooh, I might be an even bigger Emmett fan now!
I agree, you should read it. I am just a few chapters into, but I love it. I agree with Calrissian (love the name btw) it's not Twilight-ie, but yet still so Stephenie.Read it, I absolutely loved it. It's not Twilight, but it definitely has that Stephenie feel to it.
