You know, about Kristen, that kind of gets me-- the girl is 18, and she's "been with her boyfriend" for 4 years? Meaning she got together with him at age 14? Sorry, kids, I know there's those old married couples who have been high school sweethearts since that age, but for the vast majority of people, you don't even have the brain development to know who you are till you're at least 22 or so. I mean, that's nice and all, but I really dislike the idea of kids thinking they've found "true love forever" at age 14. Which is part of the reason I made very sure to talk a lot to my DD13 about the ideas in the books. Even Bella says she's "not that girl" who gets married at 18.

Also the whole Rob and Kristen "pressure to have a romance" thing bothers me-- they're actors, for pete's sake. They're pretty good actors. It's a role. If you're a professional, you know how to separate. I guess because I used to do some acting, I get touchy about this. I recall very well kissing a guy onstage while both of us were in relationships. You're friendly and professional when you're working together; you turn on the role for the scene, and you turn it off. (well, not that it never gets blurred, obviously there's a history of actors cheating on spouses with their co-stars!)

Ah, well, they look very good together. I'm seriously surprised Rob isn't in a relationship, although maybe he just hasn't had time in the last year.

I agree. I think that's one of the biggest problems with films like this, the fans stop separating fantasy from reality. It reminds me of the episode of Kim Possible where Ron meets this old actor called who played a character called the "Fearless Ferret." It got to the point where he began to believe he was the Fearless Ferret.

It would be neat if they got together, but- what if they get break up before the movies are done shooting?! You know what they say about workplace romances.

I'm not saying it can't work out, but I have seen many instances where it didn't and then things became very complicated. I would imagine that it would be hard to portray a role with that kind of chemistry if you had recently broken up. That would be my fear anyway.

Here's how I envision "older" Jacob:

OMG hottness... I am very worried about Jacob in NM... whats-his-name is way to baby-faced - perfect for Twi, but I just can't see the transition. And there has to be a transtion otherwise a lot of Team Jacob fans will be pretty miffed.

I'm glad they are getting a new director. I wish/hope they get new cameramen too.

The baseball scene is my fav.

I turned my two best friends, one of whom went on to turn her SIL, mom, 2 cousins and an aunt... It's turned into a love hate relationship. My friends hate me because they love it so much!!!! We've got boreder-line child neglect going on while all these women can't stop reading!!!

DD5 knows the words to all the songs on the soundtrack. I'm a bad influence.

The makers of Twilight, Summit Entertainment, has reportedly offered the sequel director job to Chris Weitz.

In addition to directing About a Boy, Weitz was also one of the producers of American Pie.

Hollywood insiders say Weitz scored the big job because he's super good friends with Summit's president of production, Eric Feig.

It's nice to have friends in high places!

Summit also reportedly liked the job he did directing The Golden Compass, that Nicole Kidman film no one saw.

You're taking on a dangerous job, Chris.

Where did you find it and how reliable is the source? This does not read like a professional article. I don't knowanything about this person (never even heard of him), but if what they imply is true hopefully this is merely a rumor.

It is a rumor at this point. It was on Perez Hilton's blog and various other rumor mills, that's it at the moment. Still, I hope it's not true.

I seen a great shirt on line and now I can't find the site. It said something along the lines of I don't want to be a princess I just want to be a Vampire . I got to find that shirt .



I finally got to see the movie and I need to see it again . I missed so much by the distracted teens . Everytime Rob was on the screen there was screams of lust in the theater . LOL

I got my daughters lots of Twilight stuff from . I can't wait till they put the posters up in their room . Mommy really wanted them but now I can just go clean their rooms and take a peak at him ... Don't tell my DH .

to the addiction. We've all read the books multiple times, seen the movie multiple times, and the DH'S/BF'S get used to it....some may enjoy it!

Just finished the 264 pages of the Midnight Sun draft and I LOVED it! I loved seeing more character development of the Cullens, and even seeing Edward's sense of humor. Please SM, finish this book! Of course, I don't think I want to stop at reading MS only from Edward's perspective, I want (need) SM to do all the books from his point of view!!!
