Was her bf the one sitting on the step with her when she was smoking? Yea, if I were her, I'd be all over Rob like white on rice. English accents kill me!!

Not sure if it was him sitting on the step with her. He is the kid from the movie The Forbidden Kingdom, he was also Jack's son on Will and Grace.

Now that's a nice late(r) model Jacob.

Im with all of you I am sure that New Moon will be wonderful(it was my favorite book) no matter who directs it but i do think a fresh director with better perspective of what us fans want will be better for the rest of the flicks (fingers crossed) but I go into it knowing that the book is ALWAYS better it is just fun seeing it come to life!!

* And DisDarling I too have the cd in my car and listen to it everyday even while Im on the puter right now Im listening to Rob sing to me :)

I'm so glad New Moon is someone else's favorite too! It's most people's least favorite book... Although Eclipse is a close second for me! I can't wait for it to come out! :lovestruc

I think New Moon is a hard pill for people to swallow because Twilight is all about this incredible romance, and you come off it being so happy for them..... and then for those who have read it, you know the rest. To me it was like going to a wedding and then having to go to a funeral the very next day... does that make sense?

Exactly! It's a good book and I really love the character development, but it is probably my least favorite book in the sieries. I'm not saying I didn't like it, but I liked it less than the others.

Oh I definitely see where you're both coming from. I guess I'm a little 'dark and twisty' (to use a Grey's Anatomy term) because I like when things become hard and lifelike. I liked (well liked is probably the wrong word) seeing Bella be all tormented, and hearing that Edward was as well...

I don't know if I'm making any sense actually! But I don't believe things can come together happy, without some pain. Geez! That sounds really depressing- I swear I'm not that warped!

ETA: I loved how fierce the ending was too. After all that angst, in that one moment in before the clock strikes 12!! There was just such a culminating of feelings.. I don't want to write any spoilers, so that's all I will say for now!

Definitely! All the books are just so good, I like it less only by a fraction of a degree.

 ( and I have something reallllly funny to say about your blue banana Mel, but I'm holding back!!)

Ohhh, come on!

Yup! I liked it though. She's a good storyteller.

Do you get chills when Rob starts to play his song?? I just keep thinking, its EDWARD singing, or mumbling, whichever you hear!! LOL :goodvibes

i did until my daughter found a bootleg copy of the sheet music and she has learned it and is playing it beautifully so I get to hear it live everyday:rotfl:

As long as they do it correctly, I dont care how fast it is filmed!

amen to that sista:thumbsup2

you shallow girl you....shes been with him for 4 years and you think she should drop him for an english accent????? and one who asks every other girl to marry him???? I think not!!

cool thanks....'cause although the song has been growing on me-at first I thought he was trying to sing through his ears-I couldn't figure out some ( ok most) of the words. I don't know if it's my obesession with Twilight or what, but I didn't not like it.

'Course, he could probably remake Row Row Row Your Boat and I'd be alright with it. :)

 ( and I have something reallllly funny to say about your blue banana Mel, but I'm holding back!!)

his voice doesnt fit him at all...he comes across as really playful and silly and he sings like hes a folk singer in pain...I cant handle listening to him sing but for about a bar or 2

very much so...that was a hard book for me to get through because I genuinely felt pain in my heart...when it got to that point where well I cant say because of spoilers but we all know what happened as to why bella became close to Jacob, I cried so hard that I had to put the book down for the rest of the night...I got so angry and threw the book down... and I got online to talk to a couple friends on aim and was crying and crying and they tried to make me laugh so I would stop crying and it helped but it took all day before I could pick up the book and start reading again:sad2: :sad1: Ive never felt that reading any book in my life...i felt so horrible for Bella...I just know Im going to bawl when it gets to that scene and it sux:sad2:

well my dearests Im off to the happiest place on earth till Friday...gonna spend a little time with the mouse so I will talk to you all when I get back...have a good rest of the week and please dont make me have to read 100 + pages when I get back:rolleyes:

Just found the new thread..loved the old one. I have to admit that I am reading the series, again, on Eclipse now. I haven't seen the movie. Sadly I haven't converted anyone and my DH thinks I am super silly! :confused3

I'm a little worried about what Summit says too. I'd like them to stay close to the way the book went. While dealing with no Edward for awhile is painful (hopefully I'm not spoiling it more for everyone than the Summit article did), it is essential to the storytelling. Fingers crossed here! :sad2:

You know, about Kristen, that kind of gets me-- the girl is 18, and she's "been with her boyfriend" for 4 years? Meaning she got together with him at age 14? :sad2: Sorry, kids, I know there's those old married couples who have been high school sweethearts since that age, but for the vast majority of people, you don't even have the brain development to know who you are till you're at least 22 or so. I mean, that's nice and all, but I really dislike the idea of kids thinking they've found "true love forever" at age 14. Which is part of the reason I made very sure to talk a lot to my DD13 about the ideas in the books. Even Bella says she's "not that girl" who gets married at 18.

Also the whole Rob and Kristen "pressure to have a romance" thing bothers me-- they're actors, for pete's sake. They're pretty good actors. It's a role. If you're a professional, you know how to separate. I guess because I used to do some acting, I get touchy about this. I recall very well kissing a guy onstage while both of us were in relationships. You're friendly and professional when you're working together; you turn on the role for the scene, and you turn it off. (well, not that it never gets blurred, obviously there's a history of actors cheating on spouses with their co-stars!)

Ah, well, they look very good together. I'm seriously surprised Rob isn't in a relationship, although maybe he just hasn't had time in the last year.

Hey, Lynn, have a wonderful time! :goodvibes

Yer darn skippy! She's 18 for pete's sakes, nothing is serious when you're 18! :rotfl:

Tell Mickey we said hi!!!!!

don't forget to have a frozen banana.

it's in my car, then in my purse so I can listen to it at work. Someone tried to ask me a question today and I shushed them and said, "I'm listening to the baseball song!" They looked at me like I was cra-zy.

I know! LOL I played the cd in my friend car (newborn by me:) ) and when the first song played, I said "This is the baseball song."
The whole time we were waiting in line at Starbucks, we were acting like we were playing baseball in the front seat of her car! :rotfl:

oh man, we need help!

I would agree but, Rob has clearly stated in numerous interviews the only reason he tried out for the part is because he liked Kristen. He never heard of the books but heard she was cast as the lead and went into audition for a chance to work with her. His audition was the kissing scene on the bed! He has said he has a crush on her.

I do wonder how much of that is just an act though. I'm sure, if I were a male actor, I might throw some ridiculous things in interviews to drive the girls crazy. ;)

But he probably does have a little crush on her, they both probably have one. They can turn their chemistry on and off. You can be with someone else and be attracted to another person without acting on it.

is it too late for me to try out????

Ok, so I sit here at work bored out of my mind. So I start just looking up random stuff about Twilight and Edward Cullen. Sometimes I have noticed that his eye brows look bushier than other times. Not complaining though!

And then I also read that Kristen and him both wore contacts in the movie and they were worried that it would keep them from having a chemistry with their eyes. Of course, we all know they didn't have any problem at all!!
