I, too, noticed Bella leaving her window opened. But what bugged me more was that it was supposed to be so cold and in some scenes she's wearing a heavy coat, in others she's in a flimsy sweater.

Being obsessive, I checked online and the average temperature in Washington State in March is 43 degrees, and is 52 degrees in April. And Bella being used to Phoenix weather, I think she'd button up! I'm in the South, and 43 is cold to me! Add rain and overcast and it would get really uncomfortable. I shudder at the surfing scene!!

Times are different these days. My youngest sister is a sr in HS. (I graduated 25 years ago.) She had problems with undiagnosed asthma last year and missed a lot of school. She is a straight-A student and my parents got a letter that if she missed any more school, they'd send a truant officer to the house for my parents. When she talked to the school, they advised her that it is policy to send those letters and she needed to have every one of my sister's absences authorized by her dr. So, that's what my parents had to do.

So, I don't think that schools would take kindly to ditching school even by geniuses if they became excessive.

yeah but keep in mind that it was a small town and any time it was sunny Dr. Cullen supposedly pulled them out of school for camping or whatever and the school had no problems with it....probably because he was a prominent and very loved Dr. in their community and they gave special priviledges to them :confused3

oh you got that right....im from california and Im telling you 55º here for me in the winter has me bundled up in a hat, scarf, gloves and coat so 43? would be down right freezing temps for me...I wouldnt leave my house:rotfl:

That could be. I just accepted it like I accept the things that happen on Desperate Housewives and Heroes. They just are. ;)

That's so funny. It was 41 yesterday and I was in my backyard in a tshirt waiting for my dog to finish her tour of the yard. I thought it was warm.

I'm pretty sure people don't surf in winter on Washington beaches, unless they're really crazy. It's cold enough in July! We go every summer, and we consider ourselves lucky if we can be on the beach without sweatshirts. You'll see windsurfers sometimes, but not much surfing. The riptides are bad, especially in winter and spring, and the water is sooo cold, like 40 degrees.

BTW, I didn't introduce myself because it's in my siggy anyway, but... Hi, my name is Gail, and I'm a TwiHard. My birthday is the same as Bella's (September 13th), and I live 102 miles from Forks as the crow flies, or as Edward runs/swims, although it would take about three or four hours this human girl to get there, if I took a ferry and drove around.

ROAD TRIP TO AVALONS HOUSE:woohoo: hope you have an extra bed gf:lmao:

You bet I do! Wouldn't that be fun? OK, y'all, come on over to my house north of Seattle next summer, and we'll do a field trip to Forks. We'll take the Kingston Ferry at Edmonds, cross the Hood Canal Bridge, stop in Port Angeles at the Bella Italiano restaurant for mushroom ravioli, and then drive an hour south to Forks. Sound fun? :yay:

Hi everyone,

I like the new place! I have been out of town for most of the past two weeks. I just went through all final pages of the old thread and now this one. I am still working on finding all the interviews with the cast that came out while I was on vacation.

I am going tonight to see the movie for the second time. I was traveling while it came out and just saw it Monday night. A couple of thoughts:

- LOVED Rob as Edward (that is really why I am going back tonight with my girlfriend, I just want to see him again). I especially liked his voice

- I hate to say this, but I thought the same thing in the books too. I don't know what Edward sees in Bella besides she smells good. The girl seems to have no personality and never smiles. She is dating a hottie who adores her and she still seems full of angst!

- The special effects were not good. I have just let that go.

- I did think the kissing scene was HOT. I heard they had to reshoot it since SM thought the original one was too steamy. I would love to see that one! Do you think they might have it as a bonus feature on the DVD? :lmao:

- OMG! They showed that Unborn trailer at the theatre!! I was on a business trip in MA and there were only 4 other people in the theatre. Then I had to go back to my hotel (alone!) and I thought I was going to have nightmares about that movie. But the magic of Twilight made me forget it until later.

- I am anxious for NM now.

Oh, and I have converted 3 people. In someways, I think I have done them a disservice since they are even more obsessed than me!

I'm a huge Pirates of the Caribbean/Johnny Depp fan and I can honestly say, I wasn't nearly as obsessed with those movies as I've been with Twilight. I just don't understand! :confused3 My kids even bring it up.:rotfl:

I am a huge Johnny Depp fan too!(ever since 21 Jump Street) God I'm old!:rotfl:

Yup, me too!!!

Hello, my name is Donna and I'm a TWILI-aholic!! I've only seen TWILIGHT once in the theatre - the midnight show by myself.

I'm really wanting to go back - even trying to bribe my 12 year old son to go and see it with me - he just rolls his eyes as does DH - men, they just don't get it!

I'm Deb and I've seen Twilight once...in the theater. I have off work one day next week for my birthday. I told my husband I might go see the movie again and he acted like I was nuts for seeing a movie twice in the theater :confused3 . I think I saw all the Harry Potter movies twice in the theater popcorn:: and Dirty Dancing but I can't say that I've ever been this obsessed with a book or movie :rolleyes1 before!

What other movies have you all been this OCD over? Just curious.

Titanic is the only movie I've seen 7 times in the theater. I was quite obssesed with it and I was only 8! After that it's been Mouling Rouge, which I saw 4 times, and all the HP films which I've seen 5 times each.

Alice's Mom laura: great video! now i am "swooning" for new moon and edward/rob reciting romeo's lines

Thank you! :goodvibes
I can't wait for that either, I hope they keep it in New Moon.

I've been at the beach in Oregon in July and it was absolutely freezing! I would never ever get in the water.

Ok, if this is how it's gonna be, I'm going to put you both in the back seat of the van. Don't make me turn this thing around! :drive:

Too funny as SSB also saw Titanic seven times... ha-ha! A great one to experience at the theater! I had always been very interested in Titanic and the great reproductions and fantastic love story made a great one, indeedy. Have loved Kate Winslet since then. (Also love Cate Blanchett, so maybe a "Cate" thing)
