Geez! I actually work today, and look what I miss! Ok, I wasn't actually working, I was reading MS. If I wasn't totally in with Edward, I am now. SHE HAS TO FINISH that book!!! And when I see the movie again ( and again ) everything he does and every reaction he has to Bella will make even more sense.

I was converted by a woman at work, and we then converted a guy we work with, although he is reading too slow for our sanity. I then converted my Aunt, my Mom, and my best friend.

I want Jane...I want Jane...I cant wait to see what they do with her..I absolutely love to hate her

I really love Jane too. I think she is such a fantastic and interesting character, I'm very excited to see who will play her in the following movies

I just got back from my sixth time seeing it- after today it was exactly what i needed. Some things that have not been said:

-Anybody else notice the giant cross at the bottom of the stairs when Bella first enters the Cullen house? I'm assuming this is the cross that Carlisle's father carved. I do wish we had gotten Carlisle's story. I really wanted to see the painting of Carlisle with the Volturi.

-Bella doesn't eat meat in the movie. She has a Gardenburger, salads, etc. I find it ironic that she is a vegetarian in the movie (or at least eats like one) given what the future holds for her. I do wish they had shown her cooking for Charlie, it really underscores her role as a caretaker of both her parents.

-They never mention the Denali clan or the fact that that is where Laurent went. This becomes important in later books.

-I was wrong about the curtain, I'm not even sure it is a beaded curtain. However, something does move outside her window when she wakes up and there is a noise that sounds a lot like something very fast going out the curtain. He was definitely there!

I noticed the cross too and I assumed it was Carlisle's. I really wanted to see his study with all of his paintings, especially the Volturi, but I assumed they didn't include that because then they would have had to feature Aro, Marcus and Caius in the painting and then later find actors who look like that for continuity (at least that is what I think)

I thought it was weird that she ate like a vegetarian. Even my boyfriend, who hasn't read the books, asked "is Bella a vegetarian? Is that why you like her?" (I'm a vegetarian, so he assumes I automatically "connect" and like others like me )

I had to chime in and say I think that Kristen Durst and Dakota Fanning would be terrible choices for Jane. I always pictured Jane as looking like Jodelle Ferland from Silent Hill. That movie scarred the stuffing out of me.

Jodelle Ferland is exactly who I pictured for Jane. She was creepy as hell in Silent Hill and would be prefect for Jane.

I don't konw. I don't really see that as dressing up- they wear regular clothes. The closest I come is my Alice choker which I wear every day.

BTW, I didn't introduce myself because it's in my siggy anyway, but... Hi, my name is Gail, and I'm a TwiHard. My birthday is the same as Bella's (September 13th), and I live 102 miles from Forks as the crow flies, or as Edward runs/swims, although it would take about three or four hours this human girl to get there, if I took a ferry and drove around. I did visit there a couple of weeks ago while weekending at the beach with DH for his birthday.

And, like Bella, I talk in my sleep. Luckily after nearly twenty years of marriage DH doesn't wake up and notice it anymore, but lord knows whether I'm murmuring "Edward" these days.
