Anyone bought any Twilight merchandise online? There seems to be so much, like on Cafe Press, I'm just wondering what the quality is like. Are these items simply computer printed iron on t-shirts?

What Twilight "stuff" have you bought?
I haven't bought any Twilight merchandise from Cafe Press, but I've bought other things from there that were good quality. They once sent me an XXL for my Dad when I ordered an XL. They told me to keep the XXL and they sent me an XL without any questions.

On another note, my DS went to school today as Edward Cullen. He took a cue from Jim's costume last night on The Office (an "Hello my name is..." nametag). I bought him the Hello tags yesterday and he was debating on what name to use. I suggested Edward Cullen. So, he's got on a golf shirt and nicer jeans with the nametag. He wore his sister's sparkling lotion so he'd sparkle in the sunlight. He's 13 and is sure that every girl in school will be ga ga over him today.

Thanks for posting those clips! I was looking for them yesterday and only could find the red carpet and the interview on the stage thing, which I couldn't hear because of the interpreter.

I just got my movie tickets too! I'm not going until Sunday though. But that's just fine!!!! I am so excited!

I really want to see Little Ashes and How to Be (I think that's the name of it). I have heard Rob does a great job in both movies. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the clips from Italy! I found the people laughing constantly to be a little disconcerting!
Still not sure whether to take my husband to this movie. He keeps saying he wants to go because he loves vampire stuff (he's enjoying True Blood with me) but not sure how he'll handle the different mythology, much less the over the top romanticism  . Each clip we've seen gets more and more romantic but still somehow seems different than the book. I can't explain what I mean.:rolleyes1 I really think Rob does a great job with Edward though.

midnight showings are available on fandango...they are offering a free download of bella's lullaby (remix version) with advanced ticket purchase!

Thanks for the clips.

But all the laughing is really irritating to me.

Is that only for the midnight showing? I ordered my tickets for Sunday and it didn't give me squat (not a download anyway).

Thanks!

Sandra

... almost done with "Twilight" that SSB started this week (after reading this thread). I think that Stephenie Meyer is a very good story-teller. I found it surprising that all of the top placed reviews of the book on Amazon were negative, when the overall ranking is extremely high, so many many more would have had to give it positive reviews/marks. Is there a "Twilight Bashing" contingent that try to push the negative sentiments?

Glad you are enjoying it. The whole series is pretty fantastic.

I am sure there are Twilight bashers. Just like with anything that is crazy popular. Remember Harry Potter being called evil and devil worship? I rarely read reviews. I like to find things out for myself. Plus, I obviously have horrible taste because some of my favorite books, movies, music, etc hae never gotten high reviews. :rotfl:

SSB, glad you liked the book! I think that Stephenie Meyer's writing inspires passionate responses on both sides. While I can admit that her books aren't written better than some other books I've read, I don't know that I've ever gotten as fanatical about another series. I loved Harry Potter but I wasn't on multiple message boards every day talking about it.:surfweb: You are right, she is a great storytelller!

In the clips that CP posted is that the girl who is in The Ex List and was in Grays Anatomhy? I couldnt see clearly.

Thanks! Maybe I will get it later then. I was going by myself and then a friend said she would come too. She is reading Twilight now.

Yes, it is the woman from Grey's Anatomy.

Not sure about my Dh either, although he's feeling like the "other man" now ayway!:rotfl2: Not much I can do about that! I downloaded the book on Itunes for him but I can't force him to listen, but he can't blame me for being gone to watch it when it comes out!:cutie:

I thought this was so cute!! So I "borrowed" your idea and "convinced" my husband to be Edward Cullen (ohhh, if only:lmao: )

I made him a sign that said, "I'm Her Edward. I'm a Cullen. I'm Blending."

He was a good sport about it and got plenty of remarks from the ladies!

I got my illustrated movie companion today from Hastings, and just ordered the boxed set from Amazon. Note to all you Twilight fans: In stores the boxed set is 83.00, on Amazon it is 49.80.

I just bought twilight last night before work, and I am on page 153, I DONT WANT TO PUT IT DOWN...and I am not a vampire kind of girl, but so far this book is AWESOME...I see myself buying all of them!
