I read Twilight all the way through on Sunday. I didn't mean to it just kinda happened. I loved it! Headed to the store to get the other two and reserve the 4th. I know she is coming to the local Borders, but it might be during work hours.

Darn new job! If you stayed with MI, you'd have been able to get the time off... and we'd be able to satisfy our weird coworker addiction.

The Twilight Baby story is hilarious! And those pictures are so precious.

Oh, I'm going to the Barnes and Noble in Columbus, Ohio! But unfortunately I work until 11:30 at night, so I'm just going to have to zoom over to the store and purchase my copy without enjoying the party.

Augusta, Ga Barnes and Noble for us!

We're gonna go to Macaroni Grill and eat Mushroom Ravioli..in honor of Bella and Edward's "first date"..then go over to Barnes and Noble from 10:00 to 12:00..or however long it takes to get our books.

Then STRAIGHT home to stay up the rest of the night I'm sure!!

I will have my own copy..DD will have hers..and a friend that is coming down just for the Party will be getting a copy as well.

I plan to have PLENTY of junk food and coffee on hand..and we're all gonna veg in our PJ's and read.

Hehe...sorry, I should have clarified. That quote about the book cover was not FROM ME. It was cut and pasted from the article in entertainment weekly. It also was not in reference to what the cover was (was going to be) but rather what the context/meaning of the cover was.

I don't know how I can make it till December without this movie! I need a fainting smiley.

ETA: The part where Edward says, "I'll do whatever it takes to make you safe again" gave me chills!

I watched Et for the Twilight stuff. The "new trailer" really wasn't much of a trailer rather than a mish-mosh of random snippets with the anchor talking over much of it. I was really hoping for an uninterrupted TRAILER.

Also, gotta admit, I am a little nervous. The acting so far seems...well...a tad lame, and the special effects look very fake (lot's of Crouching Tiger wire fighting that's been SO done. Not at all how I picture much of the action. I was looking for more Matrix-y type stuff).

Hopefully they haven't finished all of the effects and the scenes they DID show were the "shot-for-the-trailer" stuff, and the good acting is being saved for the actual film.

I THInk somebody may have mentioned this before but I didn't put two and two together until a few moments ago.

I was watching (and I'm ashamed to admit) Disney's Sky-High, the other night (with Kurt Russel, about the High School for superheroes). And I realized who SHOULD've been cast as Jacob.

Steven Strait.

If you aren't familiar with him, watch (snicker) Sky-High, he's Warren Peace, the main character's Nemesis. He's also "the guy" in 10,000 BC (which is what I think someone here has mentioned before) and was in the Covenant.

Anyway, here I am too. I read the series after seeing this thread and enjoyed it although the writing is a bit too junior high at times. She writes a good Edward and that kept me going.
