TWILIGHT vampire book!!!!!

One issue I'm having with the castng/filming of Twilight is that in almost every scene that is out there including each different scene in the trailer plus on each promo pic/poster, Kristen and Rob look different. The pic in Princess Deb's signature looks WAY different than the promotional photo of the Cullens w/Bella, which looks VERY different from the way the characters look in the trailer (I'm talking down to each scene in the trailer).

Does anyone else see that?? It's like they've chosen a different actor for each shot!

Karen B-I would not read through this thread unless you are okay with spoilers. There are not that many but there are enough that you will know the main plot of New Moon if you read all 76 pages. Glad that you enjoyed Twilight!!! Welcome to our world

I am going to the beach next week as well-I'm hoping that my stepdaughter finally finishes reading Twilight that week so I can obsessively talk about it with her .

I saw that www.twilightlexicon.com forums will be down starting on 07/14 so that no spoilers for Breaking Dawn will be posted on their bulletin boards. I'm assuming that TwilightMoms will shut down, too. I'm almost glad that I'm going to be out of town as I'd be going into withdrawal!!!

TwilightMoms will most likely do the same. Just watch the boards. They will be sure to post an announcement about what they plan to do.

Also if they do lock down for BD it will probably be like when they locked down Easter Weekend - you could still get onto the boards to read exisiting posts and PM other members however you could not post anything new to the boards.

Now, I made reservations to go w/my cousin (we're both in our early 40's!) but we are feeling a bit wierd about wearing "prom" dresses especially since we really don't have anything prom looking! I really don't want to buy a dress, although think I might be able to find one cheap at Salvation Army. However, I don't want to be the only 42 yo (almost 43) in a prom dress!!!!

What is your bookstore doing for the BD release? Are you going? What will you wear?!?!

barnes and noble here is doing the prom...DH and I are definitely going..(we're in our mid 20s), but we still don't have a whole lot of prom-esque clothes...I have a dress that would work but not sure if it still fits...I would definitely check salvation army/goodwill...you might be able to find something fabulous there and it would be cheap!!!

I'm going to Barnes and Noble with my sister. I don't have any dresses let alone anything prom-ish. So we decided instead of that were going to go as characters. I figure I still get to dress up but I can wear something a bit more comfortable than an actual prom dress. I'm really excited. I got an email from them today and it said to dress up [but it didn't make mention of prom stuff exactly].

I'm another Twilight fan here! I haven't heard anything about our local Barnes and Noble store doing the prom, but I would go if they did it. My sister begged me to read the books and after getting sick of her always asking, I started reading them and now I'm hooked! I can't wait for "Breaking Dawn"!!

I think you can search the Barnes and Noble website for a store near you that's having a pre-release prom. I think it said that something like 650 stores are having one.

I'll be at my local B&N for the Prom and release party of BD. I am 32 and going with my 16 yo sister. We will be wearing "Team Edward" shirts, no prom dresses. I think my DH would disown me if I went in a prom dress!LOL He already thinks I'm nuts for obsessing so much over the books and movie.

As for Jacob, I do like him, just not for Bella. I think he acts like a normal teenager so I don't let his behavior get to me.

Has anyone read Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz? I only read one chapter today. It is young adult and is popular according to my library. It is also about teen vampires and is a series.

I'll post again if I like it. I'm just wondering if anyone else has read it and liked it, or didn't like it.

this is off topic of threads shutting down.
but i personally am a team edward fan. it seems to me that edward is so much more in love with Bella than Jacob ever could be. He went to kill himself when he heard she jumped off a cliff. I don't think jacob would go to that extreme. It also seems that edward has much more control over himself than jacob does. He's extremly devoted to bella and loves her 100%.

Plus something interesting was brought to my attention the other day. I was wondering if it has ever crossed anyone elses mind as well. It's been mentioned in every book how the sight of blood makes bella sick. Like in Twilight where she gets sick during blood typing in biology. I don't remember which book it's in where Jacob cuts his hand with a knife but i know it makes her sick. Does anyone else think that when she becomes a vampire she won't have any trouble dealing with the urge to hunt on people? I can't think of another reason her dislike of blood has been brought up so much. I mean it's just something someone brought to my attention and i found it interesting.

OH MY EDWARD i llove these books . i just started reading blue bloods and i can't put it down,,,,

as far as Breaking Dawn I was invited to the wedding at our local B&N i will post the invite ....

but as it is my 15th wedding anniversary i will be in Vegas ..
So i am hitting up a TwilightMoms group and attending there's i told my hubby i will not miss this .....
since poor hubby will be with me he is being forced to enter the world of twilight
