..

wt? Spongie:scared1: ...why didnt you tell me they were going to Forks when I saw you???? omg I would LOVE to go there:headache:

Has anybody else read the Outtakes for Twilight and New Moon on StephenieMeyer.com? I found them after checking out the Midnight Dawn chapter. It was neat getting to see some more of the different characters. I loved the chapter about Emmett and the Bear, I wished she could have left that in, it felt like a really pivotal moment with his character. Flight a.ka. Shopping with Alice was a lot of fun as well...it's the "first time" you really see her go overboard, it sort of helps you cement her personality. I also liked the interesting Scholarship story line for New Moon.

I could see using this in a classroom to illustrate the editing process. I love it when authors do stuff like this.

Joining in....completely hooked. Got Twilight from Amazon and started reading it to see what it was like when I opened the box. 3 hours later...I finished it and took it over to my sister to read but told her not to start until she had 3 hours to read it straight through.

Yesterday, she read it and asked me when I'm getting the sequels. :) Now passing it on to a friend.

I think the PP is correct and there is crack in the pages....I haven't read anything this addictive in a long time!

I agree, I am through twilight and new moon now I need Ecclipse!! to read on the plane to disney saturday night :cool1: :cool1:

Did I miss something about the Twilight Tuesdays? I don't get to read them every week so I try to do catch-ups but when I searched today I only came up with one from a few weeks ago.

Oh no they di'int...

Did the Twilight Tuesday author just attempt to compare Twilight (the movie...that isn't out yet...isn't done shooting even) to the likes of The Breakfast Club...Diner...Dazed and Confused??? that's a mighty big stretch.

Ok, methinks they're taking the uber-fandom too far. LEst the Fanpires bite my head off, I am ecstatic about the upcoming movie.

Is anybody else overanalyzing the movie clips and previews available on the net? I'll admit Bella's voice is not how I pictured it, but I can live with that. I am more concerned with them butchering the book. I realize some things must change from book to movie, but as long as the movie retains the essence and does not deviate from major plot points (like Eragon- worst book butchering I've seen) then it's cool.

There are already lots of little things that bug me because I'm sitting there thinking, "That's not how it happened in the book."

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS A BOOK 1 SPOILER HIGHLIGHT TO READ:
The one that bugs me the most is the fight scene. The scene they have posted on the official website shows Bella getting shoved to the mirrors and then Edward enters. It's not the entire scene, but she is watching Edward fight. She is against the mirror and then he comes crashing through the windows- before she crawls away and James breaks her leg. She actually watches James and Edward fight. I'm very worried that they aren't going to show James biting Bella, and that to me is pivotal plot point because that is what prompts their first discussion and "impasse". Would that bug anybody else?

I think the movie is going to end up a teen flic aimed at girls, even if it goes by the book.

I do hope they do it justice.

I don't know where the clip is in this thread-- but at comic con they released the full scene, up until James getting tossed into the mirror, and the part you're worried about is in it. So don't fret! ;)

I have watched the clips lots of times! :lovestruc I also read the script-someone here sent it to me. The script is different than the book but seems to capture the essence of the characters and the story. I am going to try to approach it like it's an addition to my Twilight experience and not like it's got to be exactly like the book.

I suggest actually SEEING "The Breakfast Club" before you make a statement like that. The book is absolutely in no way anything like, or remotely relatable to the Breakfast Club (other than they both involve high school age students). And there is no "new" Breakfast Club. While there has been talk of a remake for years, there is only one BC film. Tiwlight is NOT the BC with vampires and werewolves.

I imagine the blog author was (hopefully) referencing the actors from BC (Emilio Estevez, Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall) and how the film was a springboard for their hot careers, and how Twilight COULD be the same type of launching pad for the Twilight actor's careers.

However, to compare a sign-of-the-times, juggernaut like the Breakfast Club, to Twilight is just...well...wrong.

All IMHO of course.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm going to try to keep an open mind when I see the movie, but I'm sure I'll be more nitpicky about it. It's hard watching someone else's interpretation of something you love so much! :lovestruc

I'm rereading Twilight right now, and I picked up on something I've seen in the trailers -- when Bella asks Edward, "How long have you been seventeen?" and he answers, "A while." (one of the best lines, IMO! Perfect in every way... anyway..) In the book, that scene happens in Edward's car, and in the trailer, they're shown standing in the woods.

I'm sure it won't make much difference, really, but that sort of thing is annoying to me. :headache:
