I don't know where the clip is in this thread-- but at comic con they released the full scene, up until James getting tossed into the mirror, and the part you're worried about is in it. So don't fret!

I know exactly what you mean. I'm going to try to keep an open mind when I see the movie, but I'm sure I'll be more nitpicky about it. It's hard watching someone else's interpretation of something you love so much!

I'm rereading Twilight right now, and I picked up on something I've seen in the trailers -- when Bella asks Edward, "How long have you been seventeen?" and he answers, "A while." (one of the best lines, IMO! Perfect in every way... anyway..) In the book, that scene happens in Edward's car, and in the trailer, they're shown standing in the woods.

I'm sure it won't make much difference, really, but that sort of thing is annoying to me.

The one that annoys me even more is that it is Laurent who says "You brought a snack?" and he says it in a surprised way. James isn't immediately that threatening. It's only when Edward realizes what he is that the true peril is revealed.

That scene in the trailer is buggin me too, but mostly because Bella's voice sounds so grating...like a man's voice and Edward (Robert) both looks and sounds just plain ugly in that particular shot. In fact, it doesn't even look like Robert Pattinson.

Bella's voice gets on my nerves too! I suppose when I read female characters a lot of times I hear my own voice in my hand. I was expecting her to be more enthusiastic, although she is shy she strikes me as a bit quirky and not quite so reserved. I was also expecting her to be more of a soprano than an alto. Also, Jasper does not say that "she isn't one of us", maybe after reading the first part of Midnight Sun I will get more of a feel for him, but he doesn't seem to be that upset. It's Rosalie who's the real witch about the whole relationship. The others are more unsure.

I am trying to be more reserved in my opinion and wait for the movie, I still want to see it, but I'm glad that I'm going in skeptical. I still remember Eragon and the third Harry Potter, I went in with high expecations and came out incredibly disappointed. I'm hoping to do the opposite with Twilight.

I suggest actually SEEING "The Breakfast Club" before you make a statement like that. The book is absolutely in no way anything like, or remotely relatable to the Breakfast Club (other than they both involve high school age students). And there is no "new" Breakfast Club. While there has been talk of a remake for years, there is only one BC film. Tiwlight is NOT the BC with vampires and werewolves.

I imagine the blog author was (hopefully) referencing the actors from BC (Emilio Estevez, Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall) and how the film was a springboard for their hot careers, and how Twilight COULD be the same type of launching pad for the Twilight actor's careers.

However, to compare a sign-of-the-times, juggernaut like the Breakfast Club, to Twilight is just...well...wrong.

All IMHO of course.

It does feel like the real deal and I LOVE it so far! Can't wait to get back home and keep reading. O_O

Caribbean Princess-I think that the pages are mixed up a little. I keep finding that they are shuffled. I'm on the Port Angeles chapter and I am loving the whole thing!!! It's definitely giving me that Stephenie Meyer rush all over again. Thanks for sharing! I know its wrong to see it but I can't care I'm sure I'll read it 1000 times until it really comes out .

Thank you for the link. It wasn't as bad as I feared. Things are a bit out of order, but it maintains the essence of it. Whew! I have to stop obsessing or by the time the movie comes out I'll have seen it all (out of order).

I also loved Midnight Sun. It is a rough draft, and I like to use stuff like that in my classroom, show kids a rough draft and then the final product. Kids hate to edcit but I hope that by showing them how published authors of their favorite books edit from draft to draft it will help encourage and motivate them. I will warn anybody who is planning to download it: It is obviously a scanne copy and some pages the quality is not good. There are a few pages out of order and one page is sideways, so be prepared for that.

25 isn't missing, it's just misplaced. I remember coming upon it later as I was reading. I"m heading off to dinner, but I'll look for it when I get back. I'll try to compile a list of the out of order pages and where to find them to make it easier for others.
