Twice the Excitment, Twice the Fun!

So just when I think things are going smoothly, something ALWAYS happens! The snow is starting to melt, the weather was supposed to be a little warmer this weekend, and I was thinking it would be a nice relaxing weekend at home. So what to I come home to yesterday! NO HEAT! Now here in Indiana the weather tends to go from really cold, a little warmer, the back to cold in a few days, so we need heat. We called the furnace people hoping it would be a simple fix....nope! We have to get a new furnace! :faint: So we are using our tax return to put in a new furnace. We were hoping to use that money for extra Disney money and put the rest in savings. No luck! Luckily the Disney trip is almost paid off!

So how's your week been? Hopefully better than mine! :upsidedow

Hello, joining your pre trip report! My family is going on our first Disney trip in May!!!!

You're kids are adorable. Your daughter's hair is awesome.

:welcome: Glad to have you along!

Thanks for the compliment on my kids! Hannah's hair is crazy! I have to fight her every time we TRY to comb it. We seem to go through a gallon of de-tangler every week! :rotfl:

We had to break down a year ago and buy a new furnace, too. Its so nice now, though. We got one that was super efficient, so it cut our heat bill in half and it also has a moisture thing on it so we don't have to run humidifiers here. Now we just need to break down and buy central air. Not happening while our house is on the market, though! Hope you have a better week ahead. We are actually looking at highs in the 40's. Yippie!

DH is hoping the new furnace will help with the heating bills. We are having ok weather now too. The 40's seem wonderful compared to what we have been having. We finally made it to 50 yesterday...now if it would just stay!

I'm a little late getting over here, but I'm on board for your countdown.

I love seeing the pictures of little Hannah. She looks so cute with her Winnie-the-Pooh outfit on while she's hanging out with the real guy!

Our heater has been hanging by a thread for a couple of years now, so when it finally plays out, I won't be able to complain, because it has given its all and more. It seems like there is always something popping up to take what extra money we think we will have!!!

:welcome: Glad you joined in!

I need to get on the ball and add more pictures from our 2006 trip. I have to get them uploaded to photobucket and I keep dragging my feet on that.

I have been terribly neglectful of the PTR and our blog this week, but with pretty good reason. You heard about our furnace, luckily we were able to get a new furnace put in on Tuesday, just in time before it got cold again! :cool1:

Our second "treat" was, Sunday night about 10:45 Hannah woke up and she was burning up. Her temp was 103! She had an awful cough, I told Ben based on the way she was coughing that I thought she had croup. Sure enough, after a trip to see the doctor, it was croup. She was put on 2 meds and feels much better! :yay:

So we decided to be brave and hit the mall in Indy yesterday. I was needing new pants so I was ready for this shopping trip. Ben decided he wanted to go too! What? He never wants to go shopping! But we ended up having a nice lunch at Joe's Crab Shack. Yummy crab legs! Then hit the mall. We had a nice visit to the Disney Store. We got a few t-shirts for our trip and they were having bogo sales on the stuffed animals. Hannah picked out Wall-E and we got Little Brother (Mulan's dog) for Owen. Hannah also picked out the Ariel dress...but Daddy said no because it was too pricey. I'm hoping they will go on sale sometime before June or maybe it could be her birthday present. I still didn't get my pants! I just want a pair of khaki pants but they were nowhere to be found. Oh well!

Hoping to get more updates soon!

Here is my first question for you wonderful readers!!!

What bag should we take to carry around the parks? Our old backpack is out because it doesn't have a place to hold bottles or sippy cups and with an 11 month old we will need that! Thanks for your help!

Just found your PTR and following along. Glad Hannah is feeling better, both my kids had croup, not fun especially the first time. :scared1:

Sorry, can't help with the bag issue since we had our kids carry their own bags this trip. I loved :lovestruc the baggalini that I got at AAA but it really wouldn't be big enough to carry sippy cups, etc.

I think I figured out what bag to carry. I got the Vera Bradley Cargo Sling.

I'm hoping it will work. I figure if it gets here and I don't think it will work for the trip, then I have a new purse! I couldn't pass up the bargain! It was marked down to $25 from $90! It has two slip pockets on the ends and DH may just have to carry his old backpack too!

I'm back, hopefully more consistently! I got Hannah feeling better, then I got sick. I missed two days of school and only went back on Friday because I had 2 case conferences scheduled. Wouldn't you know neither parent showed up!

Reading other TR's just puts lots of ideas into my head! :upsidedow

I think we are going to add a few more ADR's to our list. So I think our list is looking like this:

Sunday-Dinner at Chef Mickey's

Monday-Breakfast at O'hana and possible dinner at Crystal Palace

Tuesday-Breakfast at Tusker House (hopefully early) and dinner in DTD

Wednesday-Breakfast at CRT and possible dinner at Crystal Palace

Thursday-??? probably somewhere in Epcot (I can't decide...so many choices)

We are waiting on June hours to nail things down. Depending on schedules we will decide when we are eating at Crystal Palace.

I have been working on my binder this weekend....I have been avoiding the :laundy: , so I really need to get back to it.

Your kids are so adorable and cute :lovestruc great thread. I would love to hear more.

Oh wow she was tiny but you can tell since the beginning she was going to be full of spirit and adventure. I love Hannah's eyes so beautiful:) and the shirts are cute too. Where did you get them made?:confused3 I was looking for a cute shirt to take on my trip but maybe next time.

I have a hard time understanding Star Wars :confused3 I see it and it's too complicated.

So far your tentative itinerary looks great.

I've done Chef Mickey's breakfast and dinner, 'Ohana for breakfast, and Crystal Palace for dinner. None of them disappointed me. Crystal Palace was so good!

Are you thinking of Earl for a DTD meal or something a little more? Maybe like T-Rex or Rainforest?

Jill, John, and Brooklynn went to Tusker House for Donald's breakfast on their October trip, but she didn't rave about it. I hope we can all go together with the big group next time, so I can try it for myself.

That all looks like fun!

Well, except for Friday. :sad1:

I know little to nothing about Star Wars, but I still thought the parade and all of the extras were cool. If your husband is into Star Wars, he'll love it!

Isn't Disney planning fun??????

DH made our shirts. His work has a t-shirt shop and he was able to get them done. I got the idea from the Creative Dis'ers.

Not sure where we will eat in DTD. I would like to try T-Rex, but it will depend on Hannah's reaction. She can be so big and brave sometimes and then she can be a huge chicken. I figure we will go in and look around and if she is ok with the dinosaurs then we might eat there. If not, then I would like to try Earl's. Well honestly, I'd really like to eat at Fulton's (Yummy crab legs!), but we have decided to forgo it this trip between the price and the kids sitting though us eating it.

DH was only so-so about Tusker House, I would like to eat there because we haven't and we maybe could get in AK earlier.
