I was just looking at the menu for the new Italian restaurant in Epcot, Tutto Italia. I noticed that for the family meal prices are $14.95 for kids up to 9 and $39.95 for 10 and older. WoW!!! That's a huge difference. My daughter just turned 10 so this will be our first Disney trip with another adult. I guess I'll have to cross this place off my wish list because there's no way I would pay that difference for my DD. She won't eat that much!

All kids meals at WDW are priced for ages 9 and under. At some table service locations, you can ask if she could please order off the kid's menu. But for fixed price meals (buffets, character meals, Fantasmic Dinner Package, etc...) she'll have to be charged the adult price.

Our next trip is a few days right after my dd turns 10. I feel your pain.

I totally agree and it isn't just this restaurant - Disney prices for kids age 10-12 on food is outrages and I have sent an email to them about it. I hope others do to and maybe if they get enough complaints they will offer a true "junior" price for that age group. Maybe have half portions from the adult menu available or a choice of a half portion entree or an appetizer with a salad or soup and dessert. Priced accordingly

My DD wasn't much of a kids menu person but we would order off the adult menu and either share or she would order an appetizer. Some restaurants used to offer 1/2 portions of select items on the adult menu but not sure if they do anymore. My son is a picky eater but is also not much into the kids menu food. He just turned 10 and the only buffets / character meals we are going to are LTT because I know he will eat the food there and Hoop dee doo, again because he likes the food. Everything else is regular restaurants so that he can choose an appetizer or we can share and I don't have to pay over $20 for him to eat just a couple of bites of one item

For those of you that want to be heard please write to Disney

I think there is a huge need for a "junior" price / menu
