So I will spare you the details of my Black Friday shopping...

I actually did quite well, getting everything from a $100.00 Star Wars toy at ToysRus for $49.99, to ten of my .99 cent poinsettias at Home Depot!!

I bought a variety of things, Christmas gifts that I need to mail off, and mostly a few smaller items for the boys. I guess, in the end, I like going because it is something I get to do by myself, and I have fun…

Most shoppers are looking for those deals on electronics, TVs etc… But me, I was happy with my $25.00 artificial Christmas Tree!!!

I didn't stand in line anywhere but at Target, and that was crazy. But again I was trying to score my Razor
scooter for $17.00 not a 42" flatscreen, so I didn't feel too much stress!!! Though the line around the building did give me pause!!!!

I walked into
Best Buy AFTER they had opened, but of course if there is a line outside to get in, you gotta remember that there is a line to get OUT, once you grab your loot!!!!

And that was LONG!!! I was trying to get Toy Story Mania Wii, I had a $10.00 gift card, and since it wasn't on sale I knew it would be available! But the line to check out was insane, so I returned the next day and got the game no problem!
So I realize I have gotten a bit behind on my PTR!

But I finally loaded a few photos to keep you up to date, and there is more to come!
FIRST what we are doing for our trip reveal…
My DH and I took our old scrabble game and picked out the letters to spell “we’re going to Disney” This is 17 letters. We mixed them all up, and put one letter in each of the numbers for my Christmas “count down” calendar… this is my advent calendar, which we affectionately call the “Christmas Count Down”… So inside each box is a letter and two peppermint chocolate kisses! The kids will collect the letters in a bowl and in the final box, on the 18th, I will have a riddle to help them find a word scramble that I will put together for them to place the letters on.. with a few clues in terms of where letters go in order… I’ll show you when it is done. So they will get the message that way. Now, I bought these dang balloons, so we will attach these to the shopping bag and give that to them once they solve the riddle. And inside the bag will be the goodie “stockings” to take on the trip… which we leave for that day! SO I think it will time out well….
Here are a few photos so you can visualize what we are doing. The calendar, and the scrabble bits!
So you may remember that I ordered the Mickey Pajamas for my kids… well I got these and what was supposed to be my Sound of the Season CD!!! I got Tarzan instead!!!

But they gave it to me and shipped the new one, which I hope will show up soon. Anyway the PJs are GREAT! Nice fabric, well made. A little big, but I would rather that. I washed them, and will put these in their bag… Here they are and my "new" Tarzan CD...
While I do not have a collection of

Jim Shore Mickey-Santas

,
like Wigd!, I have been collecting his figurines for a few years now…. I love them. Here is my collection which I put on my credenza every year. I buy a new one each year, at the Hallmark store up the road. I TOTALLY refrained from buying a new Vera bag… I am happy with my mailbags, and have the Green Cupcake pattern which I think will be festive enough this December. The store was giving 25% off all purchases from 6 – 8am on Friday, so I was able to get my new Santa for a little less…
Here are a few other pictures of Christmas in my house. I will finish my front yard/porch this week and take those photos and my tree pic as well. This weekend is cookie dough weekend. And next week cookie making. (and a birthday…) And a holiday brunch on the 13th for friends. I really love decorating for Christmas, I have certainly collected a lot of stuff, and it makes me happy each year to bring it out and display it. That and my Christmas CD collection
I STILL must get cracking on my summer plan for ADRs!!!

I have to make some choices before my day on Dec 22nd!!! I can’t believe that I have to get up early while I am at Disney on vacation to make ADRs!!!! I think it is a crime! Well I guess it could be worse!!!!
We are still weighing our options for an extension to our trip, btw…. My DH is now talking cruise in October, a full week…. I wish he would make up his mind!!!
I will be back later to catch up on all my reading!!!!!
