Hi ya WigD! I am here I am exhausted! Shopping, Decorating, and Birthday partying! We had some family friend visiting to do for most of today I am 80% done with my house decorating, and have been making some tweaks to plans, etc. for our trip... getting some shopping finished, in addition to Black Friday, and YES I survived BLACK FRIDAY!!!! I was victorious.... and I even got a special call from the Disney Store people, taking care of my Sounds of the Season/Tarzan mixup... I am now the owner of Tarzan Movie Soundtrack... The other CD was shipped today apparently.. I will be back, maybe later tonight, I am soooo sleepy, but definitely tomorrow morning!

I hope you have had a splendid holiday, we have here!

I do have LOTS to share!!

Well, not really, but I feel like I have been underground the past four days and am finally coming up for air!!!! So I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving Day and holiday weekend. We sure did! I had a great shopping trip on Black Friday, I will spare you the details!, but it was fun! I then came home to all my decorations that I was determined to get set out so I could enjoy them for a few weeks before we leave for Disney!

So last week, my DH asked me if I would want to consider perhaps changing our plans slightly on this Christmas trip... I of course was Thinking of how he pulled this last summer, bumping our trip from end of June to July... However that worked out well, and he did spring the "random October trip" on me in the same fashion, so of course I was all ears...

He said, would you want to extend our December trip? WHAT??!!??

I said to him, "are you crazy?????" I then said, "Where is all this money coming from???" Well, he said, "it would require one change to our trip, and it is a gamble, but we could if you want." I said, "what big change would that be???" He said "We would have to drive, not take the train, b/c I can't change our tickets the dates are all booked out. But with the money we save that way, we can stay longer..." "LONGER??!! Where??!!" says I, and then he proceeded to explain that he was looking at a DVC rental at Kidani, a studio for very reasonable, the 27th - 30th... And would I be interested?! I was immediately thinking it would be perfect, more time at Disney, etc... but then I started thinking what would we do if we wanted to just hang at the resort, it would possibly be too cold to swim, it would be even MORE crowded than it already was going to be, and I didn't know if I would want to go to the park every day at that point... especially considering that the weather would be iffy and after us having a fabulous week already... but the idea of staying longer was still very exciting to me. So he said, well think about it. And that is what I did.

Thanksgiving day, my DBIL came over and mentioned that while he was in Disney (staying at the BC btw, for a conference) on a whim he decided to take the three day Bahamain Cruise, he was able to book it while he was there, called the cruise line a few days before the departure and got a good rate. Now this was October, and technically the "off season", mid-October, but they got a great rate, for literally just walking up to the cruise desk and "booking" a cruise. My DH was really curious if we could do the same thing. I said "it won't be that cheap in December!" But he said, "So? If it is even somewhat discounted further, we could still do it, b/c the train tickets were almost the cost of the cruise... So we looked online and discovered that the 3 day cruise departing on the 27th is still open... NOW we play the waiting game. Basically there are several things up in the air. BUT one thing for sure, is that we are now to Orlando... This is the subject for another post on another day, but safe to say, with that change, we have opened ourselves up to a variety of options... either this DVC rental I mentioned, or possibly trying to score a cruise, OR just making a resort reservation for a few extra days... All of these options look doable, and we are going to consider one of them, but what we end up doing will be the surprise on this December trip. The Kidani rental would lock us into that hands down, so we can't change plans if we were going to do it. So in a way this is the LEAST likely to happen... I think we are leaning towards trying to make the cruise work, at least I sense that is what DH wants, OR we will just book a few extra nights at a resort... I am in the process of scouring for rates and rooms... I have a few options...

So while I have no firm plans, it might be that this unfolds during our trip! We will have to see... Talk about ups and downs...

I did not get to my SUMMER trip plans, I must confess. Totally ran out of time! BUT I have these plans swimming around in my head, and for now, that is where they will have to stay!

So stay tuned this week, lots of posting to do... I made Tshirts this weekend, just didn't get the photos loaded. Will do that this week. Oh! And we came up with our Disney reveal for our boys.... it involves a scrabble board!

I know!!!! You and me both!!!! Well, the drive would be 13 hours. My DH is really itching for a roadtrip, we recently bought a certified pre-owned Volvo with DVD's in the back seats... I think he is curious to see what it would be like, we have never driven that far with kids... this could be an utter disaster or pure fun.... either way, it is all in the attitude I think... I am just hoping no crazy weather causes us any grief... the car is an SUV, has AWD and all that jazz, but you never know, 20 days away... I think this was his way of getting to try the whole roadtrip idea... My DBIL and the cruise at the last minute just came up. We were really considering the extra nights at Kidani. I think we might still... I say the Cruise is the bigger gamble. When my DBIL did it, he was able to call the Disney Cruise company from a desk right there at the BC he said four days in advance of the cruise he did. So we were thinking it might work for us, but still, the cost might be too prohibitive. Especially since it is a "holiday cruise" even though it doesn't include NYE or Christmas... it is the one in between... We'll see. We are going to continue to look for resort deals as well. But ditching the reservation for the train allows us flexibility, which we didn't have before. I am going to miss the train, but we will do it in the summer he said. So we did make that decision. Now we just have to see where it takes us! Regardless, our DISmeet is still ON! I did get my dinner at Kouzzina moved to 5pm, so now we just have to nail down a meet spot for the Osbourne lights on Sunday at 7, and maybe even a wee bit earlier, since we got dinner bumped (I think you are eating at 5pm too, right? But in the park at 50s?)

Thanks! He is a keeper The drive is 13hrs, so longer than I would like, but I explain it in a post to WigD, my DH just really wants to do a road trip with our family car, so that is probably the greatest incentive...
