Twas the Night Before ... Christmas 09?! - 12/30 New TR! Please come join me!

We are eating at 4:00 at 50's PT.
I am a tad confused about the ADRs since Marc made them and I don't have a single thing written down.
I says it's all on my phone....:confused3

So as soon as you all get to the park we can meet up!
We do need to decide on a spot, because it might be quite the DIS meet!

Whew!!! I was pretty far behind...I had a really busy week (as did most) and I am trying to put the finishing touches on my trip since we leave Wednesday!!! I think the cruise sounds great!!! Go for it!!

You weren't kidding when you said that there were big changes afoot!!! A cruise would be a lot of fun, but so would extra days at Disney! No matter what you are going to have an absolutely great time down there in just 19 days!!!

Hi Jennifer!

:scared1: Those are some awesome changes of plan! The road trip will be fun..just make it an adventure. :thumbsup2 We always used to drive down from Upstate NY when I was younger and that was before DVD's etc.
The cruise would be amazing...heck they would all be amazing. ;) I can't remember the new passport requirement...I had mine when I was on the DCL a few years back :confused3 Their is a cruise desk right in the BC in the lobby.

So excited for you!

HA! :rotfl: Well, as a matter of fact he DOES! Isn't that funny! He was the one who got us into Disney, and frankly at first we were laughing at him and his love of Disney... then look how the shoe ended up on the other foot (brother!)

Whew!!! I was pretty far behind...I had a really busy week (as did most) and I am trying to put the finishing touches on my trip since we leave Wednesday!!! I think the cruise sounds great!!! Go for it!!

:lmao::lmao: No I didn't take it the wrong way Don't worry! Personally I think he gets all caught up in the hunt for a good deal... and of course we just benefit... LAST night, when I was again reminding him I really didn't think we would get any amazing discounts on this cruise, he said how much are cruises in January... I said they are half the price, and he couldn't believe that as a family we could do a really inexpensive cruise in January, and he was almost starting to consider going down in January just to take advantage of these cruise discounts... I had to slap him into reality a little, like HELLO we do work full time and there is this thing called SCHOOL for our children!!!! Whatever we end up doing it will be a surprise for all of us!

RE scrabble it starts tomorrow.... I will tell more tonight! And once I get all my decorating done I will definitely share photos :)

They are exciting and totally undetermined! So it will be fun to see what happens in the end! It was nice to finally get back on my feet! I got cookies to bake next!

Hope you Holiday was great as well!

All of those options are really exciting! I can't wait to see what happens. WOO HOO!!

ME EITHER!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Hi! Well it will be a WOW for all of us! I am not sure what we will end up doing! I think the drive will be fine -- it will be something new for us, and the boys will sleep some of the way based on our plans, so that will help! Honestly I am not sure what we are going to do.. if we don't do the cruise, I have pretty much gotten a "soft commitment" to cruising this fall.... DH was amazed at how reasonable it is in the fall... WE'LL see!!! :yay:

:scared1: Those are some awesome changes of plan! The road trip will be fun..just make it an adventure. :thumbsup2 We always used to drive down from Upstate NY when I was younger and that was before DVD's etc.

Hello!, and Thanks! It is exciting who knows what we will do, but I am looking forward to seeing how it unfolds. Regardless we have an amazing week planned which will be UNFORGETTABLE. I get all tingly when I think about how amazing it will be... BUT whatever comes after will be fun too. The wild card! We have passports with the traveling we do as a family, so I hadn't even thought about that! Good reminder! This is the Cruise desk my DBIL mentioned, he used a phone there and made his arrangements.... I am curious to see if they really would discount the cruise at all.... it is already discounted somewhat, but not enough to really make this work for us... so not sure what kinda gamble we are going to do.... still thinking and plotting!

WOW! WOW! WOW!

Those are some exciting changes!!!! Your DH sounds wonderful ;)

Exciting and unknown!!! Kinda fun that way. Yeah, he is alright I guess....

Sounds good! I can't wait to be there to see my first ever Osbourne Lights in PERSON!!!! :yay:

Exciting news!!! All your options sound wonderful!! Can't wait to hear how things play out. :)

Stephanie

That makes two of us that absolutely can't wait!

Okay, well I am sure that there are more than TWO of us, judging from all the Christmas PTRs I have been reading!!! BUT that doesn't lessen the excitement at all .... we are spending Christmas in Disney!!!!!! :santa:

:yay::yay::yay:

So I will spare you the details of my Black Friday shopping... :goodvibes I actually did quite well, getting everything from a $100.00 Star Wars toy at ToysRus for $49.99, to ten of my .99 cent poinsettias at Home Depot!! :thumbsup2 I bought a variety of things, Christmas gifts that I need to mail off, and mostly a few smaller items for the boys. I guess, in the end, I like going because it is something I get to do by myself, and I have fun… :goodvibes Most shoppers are looking for those deals on electronics, TVs etc… But me, I was happy with my $25.00 artificial Christmas Tree!!! :rotfl: I didn't stand in line anywhere but at Target, and that was crazy. But again I was trying to score my Razor scooter for $17.00 not a 42" flatscreen, so I didn't feel too much stress!!! Though the line around the building did give me pause!!!! :scared1: I walked into Best Buy AFTER they had opened, but of course if there is a line outside to get in, you gotta remember that there is a line to get OUT, once you grab your loot!!!! And that was LONG!!! I was trying to get Toy Story Mania Wii, I had a $10.00 gift card, and since it wasn't on sale I knew it would be available! But the line to check out was insane, so I returned the next day and got the game no problem!

So I realize I have gotten a bit behind on my PTR! :rolleyes1 But I finally loaded a few photos to keep you up to date, and there is more to come! :santa:

FIRST what we are doing for our trip reveal…

My DH and I took our old scrabble game and picked out the letters to spell “we’re going to Disney” This is 17 letters. We mixed them all up, and put one letter in each of the numbers for my Christmas “count down” calendar… this is my advent calendar, which we affectionately call the “Christmas Count Down”… So inside each box is a letter and two peppermint chocolate kisses! The kids will collect the letters in a bowl and in the final box, on the 18th, I will have a riddle to help them find a word scramble that I will put together for them to place the letters on.. with a few clues in terms of where letters go in order… I’ll show you when it is done. So they will get the message that way. Now, I bought these dang balloons, so we will attach these to the shopping bag and give that to them once they solve the riddle. And inside the bag will be the goodie “stockings” to take on the trip… which we leave for that day! SO I think it will time out well….

Here are a few photos so you can visualize what we are doing. The calendar, and the scrabble bits!

So you may remember that I ordered the Mickey Pajamas for my kids… well I got these and what was supposed to be my Sound of the Season CD!!! I got Tarzan instead!!! :headache: But they gave it to me and shipped the new one, which I hope will show up soon. Anyway the PJs are GREAT! Nice fabric, well made. A little big, but I would rather that. I washed them, and will put these in their bag… Here they are and my "new" Tarzan CD...

While I do not have a collection of :santa: Jim Shore Mickey-Santas :santa:, like Wigd!, I have been collecting his figurines for a few years now…. I love them. Here is my collection which I put on my credenza every year. I buy a new one each year, at the Hallmark store up the road. I TOTALLY refrained from buying a new Vera bag… I am happy with my mailbags, and have the Green Cupcake pattern which I think will be festive enough this December. The store was giving 25% off all purchases from 6 – 8am on Friday, so I was able to get my new Santa for a little less…

Here are a few other pictures of Christmas in my house. I will finish my front yard/porch this week and take those photos and my tree pic as well. This weekend is cookie dough weekend. And next week cookie making. (and a birthday…) And a holiday brunch on the 13th for friends. I really love decorating for Christmas, I have certainly collected a lot of stuff, and it makes me happy each year to bring it out and display it. That and my Christmas CD collection :santa:

I STILL must get cracking on my summer plan for ADRs!!! :scared1: I have to make some choices before my day on Dec 22nd!!! I can’t believe that I have to get up early while I am at Disney on vacation to make ADRs!!!! I think it is a crime! Well I guess it could be worse!!!! :)

We are still weighing our options for an extension to our trip, btw…. My DH is now talking cruise in October, a full week…. I wish he would make up his mind!!!

I will be back later to catch up on all my reading!!!!! :surfweb:

OH NOOOOO!
Yesterday was our ADR day and we forgot....
Be right back!

:scared1: I should have put that on my list over on your PTR Wigd. :rolleyes1 I think missing your ADR day is worse than being late for Le Cellier....just saying.... :rotfl2:

Now to the actual update! :rotfl2:

Your house looks wonderfully festive! I just love Christmas. :santa:

I think you came up with a great way to surprise the boys! They are going to get used to these surprise trips, you might be creating little monsters! :lmao:

Whew.....

Love your scrabble idea! I have such a big mouth that I could never keep such a secret...

Congrats on the successful shopping on Black Friday.

The Christmas is just beautiful at your house! I can tell you really love to decorate! You do such a nice job with it.
Most years I love to decoratetoo. It's almost like meeting up with a long lost friend when you unpack the much loved Christmas decorations.
I've just been nipped by the lazy bug this year.....
